But seek you first His Kingdom and HIs Righteousness;
and all these things will be added to you. Matt.6:33
TWO GREAT KINGDOMS--
KINGDOM OF THIS WORLD--KINGDOM OF HEAVEN
These two are incompatible. The kingdoms of this world are ruled by man, as puppet rulers under the power and authority
of the spirit of evil, that governs his life and everything that he sets his mind and hand to. His instruments of power are
self-serving. Mankind uses everything in this world to achieve his goal. He possesses everything that he can take into his
control as though it were his creation, without realizing that the material resources of this world are only loaned to him
for a lifetime. That life is the most uncertain possession he has seems to have eluded him. In all of his studies and acquired
knowledge, it always seems to elude him that this is all the result of one act of disobedience, which has become an all consuming
drive to possess and control all of it he can.
The kingdom of heaven is a spiritual Kingdom, with the God of creation on the throne. He in essence is the source of everything.
He in essence is life. Therefore, He is the source of all life. He in essence is Love. Therefore, the only True Love is of
Him. Since He is all of these, then He is the Truth of everything, and the Truth that shows up everything else under that
name, to be false. All of these attributes,(characteristics), are of the Spirit that empowers His kingdom. 1 John 1:5, "And
this is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is light and in Him there is no darkness at all."
Jesus Christ, the true Man, is the embodiment of all these attributes. He is Life. He is the Light of Life. He is Love,
He is truth. All of these are personified in Him. Mankind in a state of blindness, by his own reasoning, was never able to
distinguish between the two kingdoms. He fails to realize that since he is born into the physical, natural, and the material
world, he is there-fore subject to it's limitations, weaknesses and it's rule. He is convinced by the training he receives
from birth on, that everything he sets his heart and mind to is right and good. He always sees his intentions and actions
as of the highest purpose and motives. He is convinced that he is trying to improve his standards, his living conditions
and his way of life. No matter how much hurt and harm his actions often cause, or bring upon others, he rationalizes them
to be mistakes, or errors of judgment, due to causes out side of himself. He reasons that they are necessary for the advancement
of the common good. Never will he on his own volition, stop and admit that it all stems from a spirit of evil. Therefore,
they are of evil intent and therefore, the outcome must result in being evil. Evil, because they originate, apart from any
consideration of the one and only true God. Oh; I know that such words as evil, sin, and a host of other such words, are abhorred
by the self righteous, the sophisticated and learned intellectuals, who want to shade everything to appear to be any thing
but the Truth of what God says in reality it is. If this is not true, why do we have to build in so many safeguards, to protect
ourselves from ourselves.
The only man to ever live and represent the heavenly kingdom as both King and Subject, was Jesus Christ. And He represented
it in its purest, truest light. His were the truest motives. His was an honest, kind, self-surrendering approach for the betterment
of all mankind, for He put the will of His Father, and His Glory first. And consequently His Fathers will was to bring about
the best of everything for redeemed mankind, both eternal and Spiritual, and physical, and material. He was rejected, because
of this separated, sanctified way of life, and His life was demanded as forfeiture, because He was an affront to the evil
powers of this world systems of government. These governments, regulate both the Secular, and the religious affairs of man.
When He is held up before this world of today, the effect is the same, because the kingdoms of this world haven't changed.
1 John, 5:17-18, "We know that no one who is born of God sins; but He who was born of God keeps him and the evil one does
not touch him. We know that we are of God, and the whole world, (system),lies in the power of the evil one." It is the need
and necessity of breaking this power of bondage that the world wields over mankind, in order that the Kingdom of heaven might
be ushered in. It was this Spiritual Kingdom that Jesus came announcing, that, 'it was right at hand.' It was this Kingdom
that Jesus proclaimed was right in their midst. It is this Kingdom that He proclaimed when He said, "My Kingdom is not of
this world, otherwise My subjects would fight." It is this Kingdom that He said, some were trying to take it by force. It
is this Kingdom that He instructed His followers to pray would come to this earth. Matt. 6:9-10, "Pray then, in this way,
say, 'Our father who art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name, Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven."
This could only come about through the death of the one, in order that the Life of the other might prevail. It is this
stupendous truth that God has been working out before the eyes of the world, and in the manner in which He has dealt with
the disobedient Kingdom of Israel. Do you, the rest of the nations, think that you will be exempt? His method with Israel,
was to teach, and at the same time to honor the faithful, but punish the unfaithful. Therefore the Blessing, the reward for
the faithful, will be honor and blessing in the final phase of His plan and the position they will hold in this world. It
will be a nation under God, the head of all nations, with the Son of David, the Son of God, seated on David's throne in Jerusalem,
ruling the nations of this world. This was the position Adam was meant to fulfill, but missed the mark. The use of Israel
as a teaching tool before the whole world, was so that the message of Redemption could be brought to the world. 2Peter 3:9,
"The Lord is not slow about His promises, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish
but for all to come to repentance."
In our journey, God leads us to the point in transition from over three-hundred years of rule under Law, to the setting
up of a King over His people as a representative kingdom here on earth. God gave them an object lesson, as well as us, in
over three-hundred years of failure under Law, administered by judges, who themselves were no better than the people they
stood in judgment over. The rule of Law never produces a righteous and godly life, because the subjects are unrighteous and
therefore ungodly, which results in disobedience because of the weakness of the flesh. There is no power in the Law to give
the subjects ability to keep the Law.
The lessons to be learned here are endless for we American's, who pride ourselves for being a people who agree to govern
ourselves by the rule of Law. Can anyone deny that we are probably the most lawless society in the world today ?
1John 3:4, "Everyone who practices sin also practices lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness."
Later in the gospel according to Paul, he distinctly teaches how God provided the means by which the subjects of His heaven-ly
Kingdom would be endowed with a character acceptable to Him. 2Cor. 5:21, "He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf,
that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him 1Cor. 1:30, "But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to
us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification and redemption." Therefore His Kingdom over which He resides, and
His subjects will be righteous, ruled by a King, who Himself is righteous and all of his subjects will be robed in His righteousness.
For the True Believer, the beginning of the life lived in His Spiritual Kingdom, begins the moment, he or she truly believes.
In all the accounts, we are continually faced with the facts, that God never imposes His will forcefully upon anybody.
Because of the innate knowledge he is born with, man has been continually striving for something better in life, never realizing
that God has been offering it to him all along. It is received by faith through grace, and never acquired by self-effort.
Mankind never finds satisfaction in circumstances as they are, but in his own intellect doesn't know how to bring complete
fulfillment on his own.
The majority of the people of Israel, didn't know who their benefactor was. Their eyes were on men, and they attributed
their circumstances, good or bad to their leaders. They never recognized. exactly what part their God played in their very
existence, and that their deliverance came at the hands of the invisible God. And all their woes came as a result of their
own disobedience. So they blamed, first their leaders, and then God, whoever He might be, they weren't always sure, because
they didn't recognize Him. He became lost among all the false god's they had set up everywhere. Because of this, the dissatisfaction,
complaining unhappy spirit of their natures prevailed. They repudiated Moses, Aaron, the food, or lack of it, the dire circum-stances
of the wilderness, and the fact that the land they were to occupy was filled with Giants. They complained against Joshua when
he assumed leadership, and they complained against the Law under the Judges rule. They were no better than the Judges, and
the Judges were no better than they, for they were all of the same lineage. All of this speaks of the facts that no matter
what place mankind holds in this world, when left to his own devises, he takes matters into his own hand and always causes
his situation to fail, but never accepts the blame for himself. He always blames others, including God. All the time he is
claiming to believe, and at the same time questioning God , His ways, and even to the extent as to whether He really knows
what He is doing part of the time. The obvious lesson is that for they or we to be successful in living the life He prescribes,
the leading of His Spirit must be followed. However not seeing this, they repudiated their God and exchanged His glory, for
the glory of the rule of man, like the people of the kingdoms of the world around them. God gave them their choice first,
and again their choice was a failures. So they were failures in deposing the enemies of God and their enemies as well, from
off the land. After forty years of failure, King Saul, the peoples choice, lost his life, due to his own rebellious spirit.
The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, has a person ready to take his place as king. Much is to be and has been questioned
about the character of David. He is later to be shown to be of the same nature and actions as all others, except for the
fact that when called to account for his actions by God, at the hand of Nathan the Prophet, he doesn't, 'hide among the stuff'',
as Saul had done, or try to take into his own hands the position and duties of the Priest and Prophet. He faces up to the
consequence of his actions. He takes his judgment and the punishment that ensues. The judgment is death, to his own ungodly
way's and death to that which he produced as a result of his actions. All of which was covered by his acknowledgment and the
offering of the substitute life, representative of the giving up his life. And was representative of the life of the Messiah,
when He came, Who would die for the sins of the whole world, once for all. And throwing himself upon the mercy of God, the
grace of God, and the promises of God, all of which God kept. Even though he had been unfaithful, God was faithful and continues
to be so even to us until today, and on into eternity. From then on in the life of God's chosen King, this note of assurance
and hope is expressed, in all of his actions and writings. Many of his writings are the words that Jesus will express later
when he is brought under circumstances, by the Devil in his constant testing Jesus, and which He would undergo through-out
His lifetime. God in His choice of either King never made a mistake, for neither failed, in putting God's will and way ahead
of their own.
If we have been reading and studying objectively, we have been able to see that God has dealt with each generation faithfully.
He then asks them to teach, to instruct the succeeding generation, what the feast, ceremonies, rituals, and holy days meant.
Each generation must accept for themselves, the truths of their redemption and deliverance at the hand of God. Each in turn
must appropriate by faith, the life of God, that He is holding out to them. Always there has been a remnant in each generation
to do so, and consequently mankind in the majority, has gone on living his life in the natural realm, according to the dictates
of his own natural desires, regardless of where it leads them. This is the history of the race of mankind, and it has been
Israel's history as well. God has continually reminded them, and we, of the Gentile nations as well. If we are studying to
show ourselves approved unto God, we can see both aspects of the witness. Life, joy, and hope on one hand, but judgment of
death everlasting, both spiritual and physical, which is the curse part of the promise.
Jehovah, God has been holding forth this truth to them for almost four-thousand years of their history, and for two-thousand
years of church history. They had experienced living out and working out in their own life's experiences, the power of God
in their behalf. They had experienced His faithfulness in never abandoning them, and always supplying all of their needs.
Still they as a people, including their judges as well as their prophets, as well as the God established means of communication,
with Him, (the priesthood), had allowed themselves, through neglect, to become corrupt. So then, another change was necessary,
from rule under law, to being governed by a king, representative of God's heavenly rule. But they misconstrued it and saw
themselves with a Physical, visible, king like the other nation around them. You see the stigma of worshipping an invisible
King as God, is a reproach to the natural, intellectual man. And so the kingdom phase of the covenant promise must be instituted.
They had, had, prophets, priests, judges, and the Law, but none of it seemed to work for them. Maybe a king would be the difference,
but not even that was the answer to the dilemma, they faced. For the problem was in themselves. Apply these same teaching
tools to the Gentile world, except for, the law, and the priesthood, and the prophets, we have been given the chance to have
our eyes opened as well as they. None of what mankind has devised, has worked or is working, but still mankind, in the majority,
Jew and Gentile, refuse, "The New and The Better and The Living Way, through Jesus Christ, who offers a perfect life for
all, and a perfect rule for all, all at the hands of His, God's Holy Spirit.
God's purpose from the beginning, was to have the earth populated with a people, recognizing Him as Sovereign Lord and
King, governing His people here on this planet in the midst of this universe, supplying it and them with the best of everything,
that would be the best for them. God doesn't impose His will on anyone by force, but rather holds everything out for man to
accept by faith. In order to get this message across, He has had to patiently teach, and even beg, ("Paul speaks; I beg you,
in behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God"), and yet mankind is reluctant. The wanting to be counted among the number of God's
chosen out ones, must come from man when he hears the offer of it, and then must accept it for himself.
The condition of the Priesthood under Eli the priest and his son's at the close of the era of the judges, was in such a
state of disarray, that they were not fit,(worthy), to make the transition from the era of the judges, to the kingdom. They
had corrupted themselves and their priestly work so badly that God pronounced their removal completely. He declared their
replacement to be a prophet, priest, that He Himself would choose, train, and anoint, named Samuel.
God's evaluation of Eli's son's was thus, 1Sam. 2:17, "Thus the sin of the young men was very great before the Lord, for
the men despised the offering of the Lord."
Notice it was the offering of the Lord that they despised. In despising the offering of the Lord, and holding Him and
His offerings in such low esteem, so they despised Him and their fellowmen, and held them both in low esteem. Therefore it
was easy for them to lie, cheat, steal, commit adultery and to fornicate with the women not their own, and among themselves.
All of this was repulsive to God, whom they were supposed to be serving by honoring Him with their lives. But when mankind
despises the Love of God showered so freely on them, they have no love for Him and no love for themselves or for their fellowmen.
Listen to the newscasts of our day and it sounds similar to this, does it not ?
Is it not the offering of the Lord, that man despises today,? Everything conceivable is given precedent over the offering
God has made in mankind's behalf. Could it not very well be the reason for all the ills of the society of the last two thousand
years. But if it hadn't been for the restraining power of the Holy Spirit these many years, can you imagine what it would
be like?
Instead of administering justice under the Law as he should, Eli showed weakness toward his son's. Thus showing that he
also despised the Lord, and the position he was supposed to hold in high regard. His approach was that of a bleeding heart
liberal. 1Sam. 2:24-25, "No my son; for the report is not good which I hear the Lord's people circulating. If one sins against
another, God will mediate for him; but, if a man sins against the Lord, who can intercede for him ? But they would not listen
to the voice of their father, for the Lord desired to put them to death." Study the rest of the account for the full impact
of the importance of taking God's Word to heart by faith, so that he can then produce the right quality of His Life in you.
The great mystery of the Gospel, "Christ in You, the Hope of glory."
The pronouncement of Eli, as a priest / judge, against any infraction of the Law, this heinous in character, should have
been just the same as God's pronouncement of despising, His offering through Jesus Christ. "He that has the Son, (The Word),
has eternal life, but he that does not have the Son, does not have life, but the wrath of God abides upon him." It should
have been equal justice under the Law. Where have you heard that before?
However man didn't minister the Law of God, as he should have, because he couldn't . Mankind can't minister his own law
now as he should, because he can't. The weakness wasn't in the law then, nor is the weakness in the law now. It is mankind
that was weak then, and it is mankind that is weak now. Read the fifth, sixth, and seventh chapters of 1Corinthians, for Paul's
encouraging instructions as to how believers in the body of Christ should face their differences, in contrast to the unbelieving
world around us. But when man is not deferring to God's authority in either case, how can he administer justice, either under
the law of liberty or under the civil law of the land, even in a nation, who's tenets are so structured to recognize God and
worship Him? Also, for the practical application of the out-working of the Gospel Truth in the Jew as well as the Gentile
believer, Read and study, Romans, Chap. 9: through, 15. This portion will give you insight into the depth of Paul's exclamatory
wonders He now saw in his God and Savior. Rom. 11:32-33, "For God has shut up all in disobedience that He might show mercy
to all. Oh! the depths of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable
His ways! "
So Eli's own weakness wouldn't let him administer justice where his own son's were concerned, therefore God took it out
of his hands and administered justice Himself, both in the case of Eli and the people Israel, as well as in our case,by giving
His Son in our stead.
The failure was the inability to fulfill the two main commandments of God. "Love the Lord your God, and love your neighbor
as your self". The same inability, is what plagues man today, therefore we all need a Savior, to provide the capabilities,
to do so. Observe the difference between, 'What the King of Heaven, provides for His subjects,' and what any king or ruler
of this World Kingdom does for their subjects.
There was no power in the Law or themselves to keep the Law, and there is no power in mankind or any law under which they
might find themselves today. "I need Help ; You need Help. There is no more that a law can do; than show you the need, and
the way to Christ. And that only comes through the continued exercise of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
The reaction of the people was, 'it can all be fixed', or 'good will come out of all of this if only we can have a King',
like all the other nations around us. Only we want one who is good looking, and one who has sex appeal, and one who is bigger
and stronger than the kings of the other nations around us. Same old! Same old! They didn't want to be identified with an
invisible king, they wanted one that would bring them recognition, but for all the wrong reasons. They wanted one who would
give them recognition in the eyes of the rest of the people around them. Is this not the reason why people have always built
such great monument to themselves, such lavish cathedrals, and churches, just for appearance, to show the rest of mankind
just how much they thought about their god, just to say, look what we've done for god. But their god is just there own works,
and the works of their own hands.
1Sam. 8:4-9 Then all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah; and they said to him, ' Behold
you have grown old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. Now appoint a King for us to judge us like all the nations.' But
the thing was displeasing in the sight of Samuel when they said, 'Give us a King to judge us.' And Samuel prayed to the Lord.
And the Lord said to Samuel, 'Listen to the voice of the people in regard to all they say to you, for they have not rejected
you, but they have rejected Me from being King over them. Like all the deeds they have done since the day that I brought them
up from Egypt even to this day--in that they have forsaken Me and have served other gods--so they are doing to you also.
Now then listen to their voice; however, you shall solemnly warn them and tell them of the procedure, (custom), of the King
who will reign over them..," Little do people realize when they make choices, without giving God consideration first, just
what the result of their choice might be. Just consider what we Americans have as leaders today. Politically as well as religiously.
Hear Paul in his instruction to Timothy. 2Tim. 4:3, "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, (teaching,
or advice); but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own
desires."
Just what the people were asking for, is what was given to them. What they received was outwardly and visibly pleasing
according to all the standards man measures by. But,"the man", wasn't according to the standards God measures by. Mankind
measures stature by looks of outward appearance. God measures by the heart, of man. Is he a person of faith unfeigned, in
the one and only true God and His Word? This has always been so and will always be God's assessment of an individual. God's
choice as shown here and elsewhere is, a person after God's own heart., who will do all of God's will. Jesus expressed it
best as only He could do. John 6:37-40, "All that the Father gives Me shall come to Me; and the one who comes to Me, I will
certainly not cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of the one who sent Me. And
this is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on that last day. For
this is the will of My father, that everyone who beholds the Son, and believes in Him, may have eternal life; and I Myself
will raise him up on the last day."
John 7:17, "If any man is willing to do His will, he shall know of the teaching, whether it is of God, or whether I speak
from My-self."
Ver. 18, "He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory, but He who is seeking the glory of the one who sent Him, He is
true, and there is no unrighteousness in Him." Peter 4:11, "Whoever speaks, let him speak, as it were, the utterances of God;
whoever serves, let him do so as by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things, God may be glorified through Jesus
Christ, to whom belong the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen."
When God made His selection of a king, it was on this basis. 1Sam. 16:10, "For I have selected a King for Myself." He was
one who would do all of God's will. David is ever after held up as a portrait of Jesus Christ. He was only a portrait, or
type, just as Adam was a type of Christ. Being only a portrait or type, both sides of the man are always shown, one is what
man is in the flesh, for which God has made a propitiatory sacrifice. The other side is what God makes him, when he walks
in the Spirit of God.
When God rejected Saul, He admonished Samuel. 1Sam. 16:7,"But the Lord said to Samuel, 'Do not look at his appearance or
height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance but
the Lord looks at the heart."
Now of David it says, 1Sam. 16:12-13, "So he sent and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, (tanned), with beautiful eyes
and a handsome appearance. And the Lord said, ''Arise, anoint him; for this is he.' Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed
him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him from that day forward. And Samuel arose
and went to Ramah." Just So, Jesus was anointed with the Spirit, in the midst of His brothers. (fellows).
The description given was that of a handsome young teen age youth. Not a great warrior of rugged stature that the people
had admired so in Saul. But he had probably spent long hours out on the hillsides, meditating, and communing with the wonders
of his fathers God, and had written many Psalms, which were probably sung in the encampments of the tribes of Israel. And
then of course were sung in the courts of his own Palace when he became King. But he was one who would learn the ways of
God, from the age of a youth upward.
For ever after however, we see two characters of the man. He was of the lineage of man in the natural, traced all the way
back to Adam in his genealogy. However he was identified with the, believing, sons of Israel, under the blood covering of
the covenant, so that the Spirit of God could rest on him. When he walked by faith in the Word of God, under the Law of God,
God could fulfill His purpose in him. In him is the first of the lineage of kings, over a Kingdom of God's chosen people,
depicting for all to see, a nation under God, ruling in the land in which God had placed His Name, many centuries before.
A king ruling a Kingdom in accordance with the promises embodied in the covenant to Abraham. And a King ruling in the land
of a Kingdom , where God had given Jacob the vision, this land was the Gateway to heaven and David's descendant, Jesus of
Nazareth, would come through this Gate, from heaven, and return, making the way possible for multitudes to follow.
The Kingdom over which David ruled, fore-shadowed in every way the earthly and physical kingdom of which Jesus spoke, when
He said, "The Kingdom of heaven is at hand. And "The Kingdom of heaven is in your midst." He is the one of whom Pilate wrote
the inscription, "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews," and placed it upon His cross. It is this Kingdom of which Jesus spoke
when His disciples came to Him and asked, "Lord teach us to pray." This model prayer has been repeated by millions throughout
the years without very much understanding or thought of what they are praying for, and asking for. Before the heavenly can
come, the kingdoms of this world must be put in subjection under His feet. It really doesn't seem from all indication, that
there are very many ready and willing for this to happen. I say this because, while the prayer is being recited all over the
world, mankind is going right on building kingdoms of his own, and building monuments to himself, and structuring them as
though they were going to last forever.
When you identify with the God of heaven as your Heavenly Father, you are confessing of halving been adopted into the family
of God. You have become through being born of His Spirit, a new creation in Christ and have received Him as your source of
life, from the first day onward. You are now a subject of a New Kingdom and are acknowledging God's Sovereign Lordship in
heaven, where His will reigns supreme, as well as in mine or your own being. .Now, His Lordship reigns supreme in you and
you are anticipating the time when He will reign supreme over all, on this earth. For this to happen, you are willing to see
the kingdoms of this world destroyed first, as well as everything under their power.
This Kingdom is also alluded to as a,' House, or Household'. And it is this house of which He spoke when He promised David
to build him a house. The earthly house of David would be torn down, but He would rebuild it. 2Sam 7: And 1Chron. 17: , and
Isaiah 16:5 "A Throne will even be established in Loving kindness, and a judge will sit on it in faithfulness in the Tent,
(Tabernacle, House ), of David. Moreover, He will seek justice and be prompt in righteousness."
Acts, 15:7-19, "Peter stood up and said to them, 'Brethren, you know that in the early days, God made a choice among you,
that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the Word of the Gospel and believe, and God who knows the heart, bore witness to
them, giving them the Holy Spirit just as He also did to us; and He made no distinction between us and them, (Gentiles), cleansing
their hearts by faith. Now therefore why do you put God to the test by placing upon the neck of the disciples a yoke which
neither our fathers nor we have been able to bear? But we believe that we are saved through the Grace of the Lord Jesus, in
the same way as they also are..' And all the multitude kept silent, and they were listening to Barnabas and Paul as they were
relating what signs and wonders God had done through them among the Gentiles. And after they had stopped speaking, James answered
saying, 'Brethren, listen to Me', "Simon has related how God first concerned Himself about taking from among the Gentiles,
a people for His name. And with this the words of the Prophets agree. Just as it is written, 'After these things I will return
and I will rebuild the Tabernacle,(house, family), of David which had fallen, and I will rebuild its ruins, and I will restore
it, in order that the rest of Mankind may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles who are called by My name, says the Lord, who
makes these things known from of old. Therefore it is my judgment that we do not trouble those who are turning to God from
among the Gentiles."
Heb. 3:5-6, "Now Moses was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken
later; but, Christ was faithful as a Son over His house, whose house are we, if we hold fast our confidence and the boast
of our hope firm until the end." Hear the Prophet Isaiah, once more, 40:10-11, "Behold, the Lord God will come with might,
with His arm ruling for him. Like a shepherd He will tend His flock, in His arm He will gather the lambs, and carry them in
His bosom; he will gently lead the nursing ewes." ver. 18, "to whom then will you liken God? Or what likeness will you compare
with Him?" Ver. 21-26, "Do you not know? Have you not heard? Has it not been declared to you from the beginning? Have you
not understood from the foundations of the earth? It is He who sits above the vault of the earth, and its inhabitants are
like grasshoppers. Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in. He it is who
reduces rulers to nothing, Who makes the judges of the earth meaningless. Scarcely have they been planted, scarcely have they
been sown, scarcely has their stock taken root in the earth, but He merely blows on them and they wither, and the storm carries
them away like stubble. To whom then will you liken Me that I should be his equal? Says the Holy One. 'Lift up your eyes on
high and see who created these stars, the one who leads forth their host by number.' He calls them all by name; because of
the greatness of His might, and the strength of His power not one of them is missing."
Isaiah, 43: 15-16a, "I Am the Lord, your Holy One, The Creator of Israel, your King, ' thus says the Lord." The Psalmist,
speaking by the Spirit, speaks of this heir who sits on David's throne. Psa. 45:1-2, and 6-7, "My heart overflows with a good
theme; I address my verses to the King: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer. Thou art fairer than the sons of men. Therefore
God has blessed Thee forever." ver. 6-7, "Thy Throne O'God is forever and ever A scepter of uprightness is the Scepter of
Thy Kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated wickedness, therefore God, Thy God, has anointed Thee with the Oil of
Joy, (gladness), above Thy fellows." Isaiah, 61: 1-3.--And Luke, 4: 18-21. Prophesy foretold, and Prophesy fulfilled.
The writer of the book of Hebrews attributes this description to the Son, Son of God, and Son of David. Heb. 1:8-9, "The
word used to define the Scepter that He hold out, to receive any into His presence, is, (equitable). Attributed to Him, is
the bestowing of favor, (His Righteousness), in grace, making all those that are His, Joint Heirs, with Himself, in all the
Spiritual Wealth of His Kingdom. All of which is Equitable! As we saw David anointed with oil, (the Holy Spirit), and exalted
above his brothers,(fellows), so Jesus is anointed with the Oil, (The Holy Spirit), of joy and gladness), above all His fellows.
So also are His Chosen Ones.
1John 2:20, "But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all know." (you know all things) ver. 27, "And as for
you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and have no need for any one to teach you; but as His anointing
teaches you about all things, and is true and is no lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him."
The Apostle Paul saw His greatness as perhaps no one else ever did. Phil. 2: 9-11, "Therefore God highly exalted Him, and
bestowed on Him a name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those who are in heaven,
and on earth, and under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the Glory of God the
Father."
Can you, by faith, allow the Holy Spirit, to apply all of this honor and glory to you, as it is bestowed upon you in Jesus
Christ ? It is all due to an equitable, Judicial, Act of God, placing each one of His chosen into Jesus Christ. In Him, 'We
all become more than conquerors, through Him'. The believers very life comes from His death, burial, resurrection, to Newness
of Life in Jesus Christ.
The question is now posed, and each of us must answer for ourselves. :Who's life are we now living, as a believer? Is
it our own fleshly controlled, self motivated, self centered life; or His Life of power, authority, over all circumstances
of life? In Him, have you accepted the anointing of the Holy Spirit, (the Oil of gladness, joy), above your fellows, or are
you a defeated person most of the time? In Him all things are possible.
As we have read and considered the word from the prophets, everything pertaining to the bestowal of redemption and justi-fication
to new life, has been told ahead of time, in untold numbers of ways, so that there would be no reason for mankind not knowing.
Never will anyone be able to say to God in that final day, ' I had no way of knowing, no one ever told me', or to the Lord
Jesus Christ, 'well how was I to know, that I could have been one of your chosen.' The message has been going out to the far
reaches of the universe, for centuries. The trouble is mankind under the deception of a lie, has been misinterpreting, the
facts of God and His creation, and His purpose and plan for it. Anyone who at any point in time, who wanted to be a part of
God's great purpose and plan could be, by the exercise of Faith in His Word.
Everyone who had knowledge of God's promises and believed them, was prepared for His coming. But as has been the case in
all ages, only a remnant in each generation are ready and waiting. Everything had been told in advance. When, 'The Conqueror,'
stood on that hill, just before His return to take His seat on the Throne at the right hand of the Majesty on High, He bestowed
all His authority on His Apostles, who would become His anointed messengers of hope. Matt. 28:18-20, "And Jesus came up and
spoke to them, saying, 'All Authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy spirit, teaching them to observe all that I
commanded you; and Lo I Am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Mankind has been endeavoring to take this authority upon himself and fulfill this commission ever since. Some in the strength
of their own wisdom and knowledge and understanding. All we have to do is look around and observe the mess mankind has made
of this message of Life. The final and complete fulfillment will come when the one-hundred and forty-four thousand of His
elect will carry the message to the farthest reaches of the earth in the end time. But this authority of New Resurrection
Life, has been the foundation upon which the true believer has stood against all odds, throughout the centuries. The Lord
Jesus Christ is the anchor of the soul, where He has entered within the veil, ministering life to all who are His. On this
authority, true believers have been more then conquerors through Him who loved us, and gave Himself for us, all out of an
everlasting heart of Love.
HIS SCEPTER OF RIGHTEOUSNESS!
Some time ago, I had the privilege of standing in the Throne Room, of the Palace, of the only Monarchy,(kingdom),to have
existed on what came to be American soil. As I stood there and observed the accouterments, trappings, furniture and all the
splendor of just a small Island Kingdom, my attention was drawn to one item in particular. It is the one item it seems to
me, upon which the most importance is placed for both the kingdoms of this earth, and the Kingdom of Heaven. This item is
the Scepter. The Monarch, whoever he or she might be, was never separated from the Scepter. It was and is, the recognized
symbol of all the power and importance and wealth, due the kingdom. It is always beautifully made and bejeweled on its top
or crest. Most visible was the emblem, symbolizing the kingdom. Sometimes it was a bird, or fruit. Sometimes it was the head
of an animal, of even a serpent. Whatever it was, it symbolized the totality of all the wealth, power, and splendor of the
kingdom. As I concentrated on this item in particular, my thoughts led me to one Kingdom in particular. (King David's Kingdom).
One Kingdom, that perhaps has attracted more attention, and caused people throughout the whole region to come and pay tribute
to it. It has been the cause of more problems for more people than any other kingdom. Most of which was not justified.
I'm sure of the attention paid to it at the time of it's greatest splendor, much of its finery was copied by other monarchies.
I then considered the account of another monarchy that had conquered the first. Much is said of several kingdoms, but because
of the enlightenment given to us centered in these two, I followed in my thoughts the emphasis placed on the Scepter. The
Kingdom of David, became known as the Kingdom of Israel. Bearing this name is the reason why it has incited the wrath of the
Devil, and all the ungodly kingdom of this world under his control. It is their identity with the God of Heaven and His Messiah,
which is the cause for the animosity. Babylon, which was later conquered, by the Medes and the Persians and occupied the same
territory as the former two, was now the center of my focus. In the accounts of both, we have our attention drawn to this
item, The Scepter.
I draw your attention to this great world empire as recorded in the Book of Esther, so named because she is the principle
character. The name is the English equivalent of the Persian rendering for the Hebrew name, Hadassah, (a myrtlewood). Let
us center our attention on her after she is raised to the position of Queen Royal, on the Persian Throne. The importance of
the Scepter is very remarkably brought out as seen in its use, and the significance of the power it symbolized. No one could
approach the presence of the King without an invitation. The person was kept waiting until the Scepter was extended, signifying
their accepted time had come. If the person was not invited, although she was the queen, that person approached under threat
of death, if the King didn't feel favorable toward the one at the moment, and so did not extend the Scepter as a gesture of
acceptance.
Esther, 4:11, "All the king's servants and the people of the king's province know that for any man or woman who comes to
the king in the inner court who is not summoned, he has but one law, that hebe put to death; unless the king holds out to
them the golden Scepter so that he may live. And I,(Esther),have not been summoned to come to the king's palace for these
thirty day's"
If the Scepter was extended, it signified the king's acceptance with favor. When the Scepter was extended, it signified
that the power, wealth, splendor and favor up to half of the empire, was extended and bestowed upon the one approaching the
throne. The queen was treated in the same way, although by right of marriage presumably, half of everything was her possession
anyway.
Queen Esther, took her life into her own hands, or rather, placed her life in the hands of her God. "For who knew whether
or not she had come to the Throne, for such a time as this." Chap. 4:14. Upon being received the Scepter was extended and
favor be-stowed up to half of the kingdom. The King retained the other half for himself. We see this practice become evident
at the time of the writing of the Gospel. Examples are when Herodious danced before the Roman king, and she was called in
and awarded her wishes, and the spirit of evil in the heart of the Lords enemies used it to silence, John the Baptist.
Believers must always be reminded, that the earthly, physical and material are always but faint likeness of the spiritual
and heavenly. In the earthly realm, whenever a favor is extended, or recognition is given, it is always limited. Conditions
surrounding the affairs of the physical and material are temporary; fleeting and transient. Man has brought nothing into this
world, therefore he can take nothing out of this world. The feelings and intentions of man are constantly vacillating, due
to all the influences and pressures of opposing thoughts and beliefs.
Our greatest assurance is a sincere faith in the God of creation, the God who is our redeemer. 1Sam. 15:29, "And also the,
Glory of Israel will not lie or change His mind: for He is not a man that He should change His mind." He is the God who took
upon Himself the likeness of the flesh of sin, so that He could experience and empathize with us, by living under the pressures
of life that man has made for himself here on this earth. Thus in fulfilling His priesthood, He can minister out of a heart
of empathy, and not as a judge administering a Law. This He has done, and doesn't hold anything against us for messing things
up so badly. He has taken care of it all by condemning mankind's sin in the flesh, through death, breaking the power of it
over man, by the resurrection to new life. He now offers Himself as a positive righteousness to mankind. He is the Holy Scepter,
equitably offered to all with no strings attached, everlasting and eternal. The finality of it is reserved in heaven for us
and revealed in its proper time.
The Kingdom of heaven has been brought and shared with mankind by the King Himself. Psalm 45, and Heb. 1: 8-9, "But of
the Son he say's, 'Thy Throne O'God is for ever and ever, and a Righteous Scepter is the Scepter of Thy Kingdom. Thou hast
loved righteousness and hated lawlessness, therefore God, Thy God hath Anointed Thee with the oil of Gladness,(joy), above
Thy Companions."
1Cor. 1:31, "But by His doing are we in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God and righteousness, and sanctification,
and redemption."
He has not established His Kingdom on earth yet, for the time is not yet. He is spoken of as ruling from heaven through
His Holy Spirit in the lives of all who are spoken of as, '"Those who are faithful in Christ Jesus,' deferring to Him as Lord
of the Life, they now live, by faith in Him, moment by moment. The Kingdom of Life and Light and Love, of which He is Priest
King, is perfect in every respect. It is untainted, and absolute righteousness prevails in every aspect of it. All who have
been awarded and received His Equitable favor, are made joint heirs with Him of the entire wealth and splendor of it. Not
one iota of the supply for it is required by the subjects. The Apostle Paul declares, Phil. 4:19, "For My God, shall Supply
all your need, according to His Riches in Glory, by Christ Jesus."
While meditating upon the circumstances of God always acting in grace toward His creation, my thoughts returned once again
to the manner in which He brought the message of grace and hope to the Hawaiian Islands. I like to think of it in this way.
One day, about one-hundred and fifty to seventy years ago, God was browsing through His library. He noticed some books with
thousands of Hawaiian Names, interspersed with the names of other people from all over the world. These names had not yet
been validated in the acceptance column of the Book of Life. He immediately dispersed His angel to see to it that the Good
News was carried to these Islands.
History tells us the method He used was this. A couple of young Hawaiian Youth's, who were fleeing from an oppressive ruler
of the Islands, stowed away on a ship, bound for the New England Coast. On board was a Christian man, who took them into his
care. He taught them English, while at the same time teaching them the Gospel, the good news of a New and Better Life. The
report is that the young men entered into the, 'Abundance of this New Life,' and impressed the Christian Community so mightily,
that they educated them in their schools and by private tutoring in the Bible. They were noticeably out standing in every
aspect of their New Lives.
It was about this time that a deadly sickness swept the eastern seaboard. In the midst of one young man's endeavor to prepare
himself to return to the Islands, with a deep concern for his fellow Hawaiians, he was struck down with the sickness most severely
and his life was taken, from him. Just before he died, his greatest concern was that the message of hope and deliverance from
the power of darkness and oppression, that gripped his homeland, might somehow be taken back to his people. It was out of this
witness, and dying request, that the missionary effort to the islands was born, and from which the first contingency of missionaries
came to the Islands. As has always been the case, interspersed with the true and sincere believers, there were the hangers
on and the counterfeit. Their only purpose is to make merchandise of the opportunity. Along with the Gospel, the corrupt merchants,
politicians, and opportunists, brought the leavening of a false philosophy of the world system, which was their god. WE all
know what happened. Just a duplication of everything we read in the Bible, as well as profane history.
It was out of a witness by these two sincere, believing, young men, that God brought about the effort that was born. The
missionary effort to bring the message of New Life to the Hawaiian Islands. Among some of the first to accept the message
of redemption and life was some of the Royal Family. It seems that the message so impressed them with the thought of Him,
The Lord of Heaven and Earth, the Heavenly King; coming to earth and extending His favor and acceptance of them into His Heavenly
Kingdom, that they couldn't insult Him by not accepting His favor.
Some people always ask, why would a holy, righteous God allow the lives of these young men to be taken, and not allow them
to bring the message back personally? It is not easily understood, when considering the words of Jesus. "a Prophet has no
honor in his own home." Two young men who had run away from the authority of the powers of darkness, would not have been received
back, by these same powers of darkness. But people from a far country, bringing everything new with them, were an instrument
in the hands of the Holy Spirit to cause them to be received, as well as the new message of life they brought. Although the
young men were received in New England, the ones who came with a report of what happened to them was received in their place.
In this manner the,"Haole," the foreigners, the missionaries were received with favor. The Scepter of the King, the Lord and
Savior, was extended to the Royal Family and received. The Scepter, whatever it might have been at the time, was extended
by the Royal Hawaiians and the Lord of Heaven received them. Many of the names in the Book of Life were validated at that
time and many since.
It wasn't long until a decree was sent out, banning the old form of the,"Kapu" system of religion, and worship of false
god's, especially the fire goddess, who was believed to have taken up residence in the fiery volcanoes. Many believed, but
perhaps there were more that didn't believe. Satan doesn't give up easily, especially when he has a whole society under his
control of evil power. And so the practice continued in defiance of the decree. Isn't it significant how the ungodly, unbelieving
ones have always defied the law of God as well as the Law of man that opposes their way of life? And so the old practice
of the worship of Pele continued, even to the extent of offering children as sacrifices, just as the ancients of the nations
have done. In fact, the worship of Pele, continues even until today.
At a later time, a ruling Monarch that had become a true believer, heard how these practices were continuing. This monarch,
carrying the Scepter of authority over all the Islands, was very conscious of the fact that she herself was under a greater
authority. For she, had become a true believer. The record shows this monarch was a woman, not a great macho warrior, with
a great army, as her predecessor. She neither assembled an army, nor did she have some New Law passed against the practice.
She simply assembled a party of her leaders, (ruling dignitaries of the time), and made a trek by foot, several miles distant
to the volcano area. She had all the authority to do either of the former two, but this had all been done before, and the
adherents of the old practice didn't seem to get the message. She wielded all the power to enforce whatever decision she
might have made to stop what was going on, but that wouldn't have changed the hearts or minds.
Man should have learned long ago, that, that approach just makes adherents to any idea that much more determined. She had
been captured by a greater realization of authority. She marched right up to the fiery volcano, and seated herself down in
defiance of the fire goddess and her power. The queen was not harmed in any way, even though the volcano was very active
at the time. Her God and Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, protected her and she came away unscathed. The account is that many
believed and the number greatly increased as the word spread. And many names in the Lords Book of Life were validated in the
following days.
In order to fully understand what has occurred in an instance like this, a person must experience it for themselves, or
a similar situation, or delve into the heart and mind of someone who has. That can only be done, if the person reveals his
or her innermost realization, of what has taken place. I'm not inferring that in order to prove God or your faith you must
go and defy the elements. But to conquer the evil power of the age in which you are living, and that the evil one is confronting
you with, the only sure way through it and out of it is pure and simple faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Power of His
Spirit to bring you out a conqueror, through Him.
Recorded in the Bible are many such expressions for the purpose of giving us insight into the workings of God. The supernatural
workings of God cannot be fully explained, nor can they be reduced to an equation adaptable to the human reason. We can however,
learn from the account as God unfolds it, and as He revealed His mighty power as it is recorded. We can learn from the account
of the ruler of Media at the time of Esther. We know from the account, the power of life or death he wielded over his domain.
We know of the consideration he extended to Esther and her uncle, according to his power and authority. We can learn of the
power of their God intervening for them and diverting the power he wielded and was intended for evil against them. But God
used it for their good. We have these illustration throughout, as God sustained and protected His Chosen ones. Noah, Abraham,
Jacob, Moses and Pharaoh, Joseph, Jacob and his family in the time of drought. We can learn of the power of their God, in
reversing and diverting every evil decision and decree in response to their faith, and God's final purpose for them. His purpose
for we in the Body of Christ is no less, and in every case we have His promise, to save us from the Wrath to come. God's name
is not mentioned, However at anytime through out the Book of Esther, but His supernatural power in sustaining them and protecting
them in order to bring them back to the land of the promise, that the Messiah might find a few, faithfully waiting, when He
arrived. God brought it about then and He'll bring it about in the final day.
A more graphic and vivid illustration of the power of the Kingdom of Light, over the power of darkness is given in the
Gospel according to Matt. 8:5-13, and Luke, 7:1-10, The account is that of a Roman centurion, who was serving as General
in the Roman Army as well as a governmental official of the occupying forces in Galilee of Israel. He was serving under the
authority of the name of Caesar, the ruling power in the world of that day. He wielded all the power of the Roman government
and his word was law. He had a slave in his household, who was at the point of death. One can see at this point the realization
that crept into his thinking. He realized that his power of authority was limited, and all the power invested in the name
of Caesar, (consider to be a god in those days), was limited at this point as well. For neither he nor Caesar, nor the armies
of Rome, had power,(authority ), over sickness and disease, that was taking peoples lives continually. However, he had received
word of Jesus, a common man of these people that were under his jurisdiction. He had heard that Jesus had power over sickness,
and disease, and even death. He realized that here was a man with greater power and greater authority, under which He served.
He had heard that Jesus served under the Authority of the God of Heaven, the God of the Jew, the God of Abraham, and Isaac,
and Jacob, the patriarchs of the people of Israel. He realized and acknowledged a greater authority than either he or all
of Rome wielded.
This took real faith to be able to defer to a greater, supreme authority under which Jesus served. Jesus readily acknowledged
his faith, and responded by healing his servant. Jesus called forth to the multitudes, that here was a Gentile, a Roman officer
and official who had exercised greater faith in behalf of the power of God's Messiah, than any He had observed in all of
Israel.
Here-in lies the message of the whole recorded Word of God. "In Him, is life and His Life was and is the light of men,
that lightens the pathway of everyone coming into the world." It is this light and this light only, that directs man along
the right pathway, to the Savior and to God's so great Salvation. Without this light of life, mankind is in darkness and
cannot see where he is going. As a result, mankind has been grasping at every conceivable thought and speculation, of every
counterfeit scheme that the mind of mankind can conjure up, to overcome all the ills in life that originate in his own nature.
Here-in lies the understanding of the New Found Authority, with which the Queen of these Islands defied the powers of darkness
which had engulfed her and her people until this time. It still engulfs many today, for always only a remnant of each generation
truly believe. Skeptics will say, "any right thinking person knows that, 'Pele', is a myth, just a superstition". True, but
mankind has been in the grip of superstitions, and the power of darkness, ever since the first disobedient act of man. The
power of darkness and evil have caused mankind to do some terrible things to himself and his fellowmen, in the name of false
god's.
Only through a true faith in the power of the true and living God and the New Life He bestows through His Holy Spirit,
can mankind ever be set free from the slavery of myths and super stition, and the control of the nature of the flesh, from
which all are imposed upon the mind of man. This nature, through one habit or another, or false philosophy, or another, causes
mankind to conduct himself in life as he does. And yet in this day of intellectualism, we hear every other conceivable solution
being put forth, but don't you dare, tell them the true and sure way to solving mankind problems.
All one has to do is look around, and observe the many and varied sect, cults, superstitions, philosophies, psychics, political
persuasions, running rampant in the society of our day, and none are held down or restricted as the preaching of the Gospel
is. All claim to have the answer, but always ignore the fact that God has continually broken in on man's consciousness, pleading
with him, "This is the Way, Walk you in it." The ruling Monarch of the Hawaiian Islands ruled her Kingdom under the consciousness
of a New Authority. The Scepter of Righteousness, that had been extended to her and that she had deferred to by faith, and
received, resulted in a New Dynamic with-in, that now motivated her. This new consciousness resulted in a new knowledge, under
which she now ruled as a New Monarch in the name of a New Authority, the Lord Jesus Christ.
To my great disappointment and sad experience, after many years of attending gatherings, as well as endeavoring to minister
the Word of a Full and Complete Salvation, I have found only a few who have, or are willing, to accept all that God has given
to the world in the Person of Jesus Christ. A state of lethargy and careless attitude has crept in so that any thing in the
name of religion is acceptable and yet no real effort to see to it that the Truth as it is in Jesus Christ is all that is
allowed in the gatherings throughout the Islands or the nation. Most want to implement the Law in one form or another as a
rule of life, but it's once again all secular and not the New Message of The Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus that
sets mankind free from the Law of sin and death. Others want to turn it into rituals, forms, and ceremonies, with only an
appearance of piety. Others want to promote all their so called good works, and enlist you in, just to support and finance
their grandiose plans and programs of so called, church building or reclaiming the sovereignty over the Islands. I have seen
very little of the true dynamics of, "The New Life of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus," which sets men free, from all the
hang ups of organized religion, without life, as God would have mankind to know it. But neither do they want to, "Learn Christ,
Who is their Life, if they posses it at all." There is a great deal of the expounding of man's concept of the gospel, which
mostly constitutes dead works, and not the consciousness of a real, personal, living, union with the Lord of Life, Jesus Christ.
It all amounts to a struggle to produce or work out a life that they feel appears to be religious, which is misconstrued as,
'Christian'. Not the Oneness of sharing His Life, under the authority of His extended, Equitable Scepter, of Righteousness.
The sad commentary is just as I found it on the mainland, most don't want their attention directed back to Jesus Christ,
and "Thus Saith The Lord", for this takes their attention away from themselves and all that, 'They are doing for God'.
The era we find ourselves in is described in the letters to the churches in Revelation. Jesus, the head of the Church,
is standing outside, knocking to gain entrance to His Own assembly, for it has been taken over by man and is being directed
by man.
I think at this point, we should consider and re-consider, that any ruling power of authority, religious or political,
must also realize that its, adherents, constituents, subjects, cannot be forced to live the external imposition of the rule
of Law alone. For all a law can do is show what is right and what is wrong, and when proven wrong, reveal the law breaker
for who and what he or she is. In the political, their must be a true spirit of patriotism, from within, based on mutual trust,
and honor, and truthfulness, great enough that the subjects are willing, if need be, to forfeit there lives willingly to
preserve their government. In the Spiritual, only the New inner dynamic, as a result of accepting God's Good News Concerning
His Son, and as a consequence, a Spirit of willingness to forfeit the old, naturally produced life, in exchange for His Holy
Righteous One. In each instance, the subjects, must be given an inner incentive, or means outside of themselves, to cause
them to want to, as well as gain the capacity to fulfill the requirements, or commands, of the recognized and accepted authority.
In all of our consideration we must always let the Scriptures speak. The Foundation Word is Jesus Christ, Himself. Matt.
7:7-11, "Ask and it shall be given to you; seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you. For everyone who
asks receives and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it shall be opened. For what man is there among you, when his
son shall ask him for a loaf, will give him a stone? Or if he shall ask for a fish, he will not give him a snake (or a stone)
will he? If you then being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Heavenly Father who
is in Heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!?"
In the narrative according to Luke, 11:13, he equates what is good as being the gift of the Holy Spirit. "If you then,
being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit, to
those who ask Him."
Matt 7:12, "Therefore whatever you ask others to do for you, do so for them; for this is the Law and the Prophets."
What I hear Him saying to us is this. If you want anyone to have a certain character, or to be endowed with certain qualities,
or if you want anyone of your fellow men to do anything for you, then you must be willing to give them equal remuneration
for what you desire of them. They or you must be recompensed, Equitably, for their efforts or service. This has always been
considered as the, 'Golden Rule,' and you hear many lay claim to this precept as their, code of conduct for life. But Jesus
said, this is the basis, the foundation for all the Law and the prophets. This is Jesus expounding the Gospel, that He would
offer, and that God, His heavenly Father has been offering to the world. Every thing that God has asked of mankind, He has
provided. When He asked man to Love Him, He gave His Love to the race of mankind first, so that man would have Love to return
to Him. When He asked man to be, 'Obedient to the Faith, He sent Jesus, who perfected faith, and then offered the gift of
faith to mankind to exercise in His behalf. When He ask mankind to willingly give up his old sinful life, He gave a New Life
in its place, Eternal Life. In order to make this quality of Life a reality to mankind, which He required, He gave His Holy
Spirit to all who would receive Him, by receiving Jesus.
John 7" 37-39, "Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out saying, 'If any man is thirsty,
let him come unto Me and drink. He who believes in Me', as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being shall flow rivers
of living water.' But this He spoke of the Spirit, Whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not
yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified."
In that God expected certain things of mankind, He provided the means where-by man could fulfill the expectations. And
so the doing unto others as you would have them do unto you, was made possible for mankind. From the stand point of the Law
of Moses, an external Laws requirements, was and impossibility for sinful mankind. But in that God has provided the New Inner
Dynamics of the Holy Spirit, every Jot, and every tittle, of the Law are fulfilled in Jesus Christ.
If your bound to live under the Law, then be prepared to give equal compensation for every thing that you expect of God
or your fellow man. And you can expect the same in return, but this isn't the Spirit of the New Life's expression, but it
is, what is expected in the unbelieving world around us. Except where man is trying to show how good and magnanimous he is,
but usually its with someone else's hard earned efforts.
But if you want people to fulfill certain precepts, then show them how and where the resources are to be found, in order
to carry out that which you are asking. This is what Queen Emma did. Instead of issuing a new decree, or imposing her will
by might of an army, she showed the world ever after, where the resources lie. This made it possible for her to conquer her
own fears, and the power of the opposition. She was able to fulfill her own convictions first, and to allow Her God and Savior
to manifest their Supernatural Power in her behalf. In this manner she gave lasting testimony, to the power of the Gospel,
for every Hawaiian to come after, to have a chance, to experience her new found authority in life, just as she had.
Always, in every generation, God has held up, for all to observe, the Power in His Sovereign Authority in maintaining the
Truth of the Gospel, as opposed to the false philosophies of the evil spirit of the age in which we might find ourselves.
When God gave Israel the Law of Commandments, He provided the dynamics through all the Super Natural works of Power in
their behalf, and sustained, and maintained their identity, in spite of the many world rulers, and peoples under the dominion
of the evil spirit of opposition to God and His purpose, that have tried to bring about their demise. The same is true of
the Church, which is the true body of Christ.
God's response to the faith, of the faithful leaders of His people, was and is, to cause the people to follow them out
of every dire circumstance into freedom and liberty, for a while. Until a new leader or generation, turned their backs,
once again on their God, and then the spirit of the age soon engulfed them, as it was doing to the other people around them.
He has faithfully proved Himself to them and to the world, throughout the ages. And He has kept all of the demands or commands
He ever made of them, always through a great display of Life with Power, (authority), in the Person of Jesus Christ. He didn't
stop there, but gave the gift of His Life to any and all who would accept Him. You see, whatever God has asked of His chosen
out ones, He has bountifully supplied for them. He provides the capacity, power, and ability to everyone who asks of Him,
which makes it possible for the believer to live a life to His Glory. This was His purpose from the beginning. Remember! What
is the Chief end of Man? "TO GLORIFY GOD!
Ultimately, mankind has taken over the control of the affairs of every governing body that He has ever raised up. Finally
he has taken over the affairs, and the administration of His Body, the church. God in Jesus Christ is relegated to a position
out side of the church. Not since the dark ages, have you heard it said with-in the church: Acts. 15: 28, "For it seemed good
to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay upon you no greater burden than these essentials."
Because of this approach, we don't, 'See' God's Will being done. Now, and since the dark ages, you hear men say, "I have
this idea for a new program, or a new doctrine. Oh God; please bless my efforts." "Oh God: Help me to raise more money for
this social endeavor.' Yet all the time, he is refusing to admit that he is lacking something. Like Job of old, he is staunchly
set to hold on to his own integrity. And like Jacob, he must come to an end of himself, and any reliance on his natural abilities.
As we have heard the Lord Jesus say, and what we should be saying is, John 5: 19-20, "Jesus therefore answered and was
saying to them, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father
doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner. For the Father Loves the Son, and shows
Him all things that He Himself is doing; and greater works than these will He show Him, that you may marvel." John 8: 38,
"I speak the things which I have seen with My Father therefore you also do the things which you heard from your father." John
12:48-50, "He who rejects Me, and does not receive My saying, has one who judges him; the Word that I have spoke is what will
judge him in the last day. For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent Me, has given Me commandments,
what to say, and what to speak. And I know that His commandment is eternal life; therefore the things I speak, I speak just
as the Father has told Me."
"Lord in the strength of your Spirit, enable us to show to the world, how wonderful it is to share in your Holy Righteous
Life. And Lord, may the Life of the believer, the behavior of the believer, in the world, on the job, in the streets, in the
home, in every area of life emulate, the Life of the Lord Jesus Christ. The conditions of the times we find ourselves living
in are no different than we see in the days of the transition from the rule of law under the judges in Israel, to the kingdom
of God, being established under David. The governmental sovereignty, the Lordship of God their Savior wasn't being recognized
any more then, than it is now. The record states, Judges, 21: 25, "In those days there was no God in Israel; every-one did
what was right in his own eyes."
Since the administration of the Gospel was taken over by mankind, is has been used as a tool to try and get an unbelieving
society to conform to what is spoken of as, 'Christian principles'. This approach is a complete contradiction. Without the
power of the New Regenerated Life, the source of which is God Himself in Jesus Christ, it is absolutely ridiculous to expect
anyone to willingly endeavor to abide by something that is an impossibility. Salvation must be administered first, and Salvation
is for the whole world, but must be received by faith alone, in Jesus Christ, alone.
Matt. 7:29, "He, Jesus was teaching them as one having authority, and not as their scribes, (Lawyers, religious, or political
leaders). 1John, 5: 19, "We, (True Believers), know that we are of God; and the whole world lies in the power of the evil
one."
Romans, 16: 25-27, "Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according
to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept secret for long ages past, but now is manifested, and by the Scriptures
of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God, has been made known to all the nations, leading to obedience
of faith; to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever. Amen."
