No Criticism Implied--No Criticism Presumed
I appreciate your interest and more than kind expression
of your reaction to what you termed my Treatise on, Always looking on the bight side of things. I should have learned from
experience, to make sure that the readers or listeners to anything, must first be on the, Same page, so to speak. I apologize
for the oversight. But I welcome the chance to explain further my understanding of the Gospel Message as I find the Bible
teaches it.
First of all there is and was Transgression,(an act of disobedience due to unbelief) and as a result Judgment,(death
was pronounced as a consequence), this brought the condemnation of Death upon man, (Adam), and all of his descendants. But,
in comparison by contrast, the Free Gift of Justification, arose from one righteous act of the Messiah,(Jesus the Christ)
and overflowed like a deluge, all the sin of the whole human race. The one stipulation God had made was it had to be received
by FAITH, in response to His Son and His accomplished work, of Redemption, Justification, Reconciliation, Sanctification,
and finally Glorification. All of which,The True Believer has provided for them here and now, in the Spiritual Blessings bestowed
in Jesus Christ, Eph. !: 3-10, and which will be finalized at His coming again to establish His Heavenly Kingdom, here on
this Planet Earth, from which He will rule His universe, Jesus Christ being the Anointed King established on Davids Throne
in Jerusalem. Of course the next Greatest event to take place for the redeemed is, the Great Departure, (Traditionally spoken
of as the Rapture, but there is no such Biblical term, it is just a term coined by man.) In the Greek it is a leaving off
from , or a falling away from, the earth. in the Greek the Word is APOSTASY or a departing from. Again man, as in a good
many instances made an error in translation and paraphrased it to read a falling away from the faith, or a falling into
sin. Mankind as a whole is already and always has been in a state of unbelief,(Void of faith, therefore continuing to sin
or fall short of the mark, that is to not manifest the Image that he had been created in). Adam was created in the Image of
the Lord Jesus Christ, Rom. 5:14, Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those who had not sinned in
the likeness of Adams offense, who is a type of Him who was to come. Therefore Paul had to be referring to the Believing Body
of Jesus Christ, The Church, being caught up into the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. All of which is elaborated upon
in the Letters to Thessalonians Churchs .
But getting back to the fundamentals of the faith. A True Believer must
accept the Biblical account, first of the creation, secondly the corrupting of the race through the one act, of the one man,
thus passing on to his posterity his own nature and all of its weaknesses, up to and including the consequence of it all,
Death. The judgment of a Holy, Righteous Creator against the ungodliness that ensued in the next Fifteen hundred years or
so until God declared to another man, known to us as Noah, that He no longer would tolerate the conditions. His assessment
was, The thought and intention of the heart of man was only evil continually, and that He would no longer strive with his
spirit. One Hundred and Twenty Years later, God brought the flood upon the earth. The only redeeming quality of Noah, was
that he was a man, of Faith, in the revealed Word of God when it came to Him, and therefore he was counted righteous by God.
This has been and remains the prevailing factor for Gods acceptance of mankind, and it is a refrain that runs throughout the
entire revealed Word of God. It was the note that sparked the reformation, but before that the Prophet Habakuk, in the face
of the invading armies of the enemies of Israel, seeing the destruction of their glorious city and its temple, cries out.
Habakuk 2; 1-I will stand on my guard post and station myself on the rampart; and I will keep watch to see what He will speak
to me, and how I may reply when I am reproved. He then received a vision of all that God had in store for Israel, the people
and the land and the city. Ver,2-3, and after receiving the vision of Gods judgment and redemption, and the redemption of
the world as a conclusion of it all, Ver. 4--Behold, as for the proud one, his soul is not right within him; BUT THE RIGHTEOUS
WILL LIVE BY FAITH. In the eleventh chapter of the book of Hebrews, the writer paints word portraits in Gods picture gallery
of all the men and women of faith from the time of Able to the close of first testament era. The refrain runs throughout the
letter to the Roman Church, as well as Galatians and Hebrews. Not until we gain a full insight of the Mystery of the Gospel,
as revealed to the Apostles and Prophets and expounded in its fullest and clearest light in the New Testament, do we see clear
enough to gain Spiritual Wisdom and Insight into the fullness of, Gods So great Salvation.
God started over with a
new family, one family of one man of faith, but there was a weakness in that they were of the same nature as their forefathers,
from the other side of the Flood, and it soon reared its ugly head. Noah got drunk and he and his son committed some kind
of a lewd act, which showed them to be just what they were, but it was Gods Sovereign Will and Purpose that was to prevail.
Approximately Five Hundred Years later God started over again through another man, and all he had going for him was that
he too believed Gods Word, in just the way that it came to him. It is through the recorded history of this man and his family,
and Gods dealing with them that we begin to see clearly, what it is that God had in mind all along, (even before the foundation
of world), is the way Paul and the rest of the Apostles put it. Almost Five Hundred Years later, we see in the continued warfare
between Satan, (the God of this world), and the God of Creation, Redemption, and Justification, the descendants of this man,
Abraham, are taken into slavery and held in bondage. The Slavery of these descendants is an effort to keep the redemptive
plan of God from coming to its final conclusion.
Up until now we hear about altars being built and animals being offered
in sacrifice to the God of heaven, but never gain the real significance of it until Abraham is told to take His Son Isaac
up onto the mountain that God would show him and offer him there. This turned out to be the same mountain upon which the Temple
was later built, and here God manifest His presence by filling the Temple with His Glory when it was dedicated by Solomon,
Davids son. The act that Abraham was asked to perform, expressed his faith, but more then that, God was painting word and
action pictures, which spoke of the Sacrifice that He, God would make when He offered up His Son on the cross. Hebrews, 11:
17--19,By Faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac; and he who had received the promises was offering up his only
begotten son; it was he to whom it was said, In Isaac your seed shall be called.. He considered that God is able to raise
men even from the dead; from which he also received him back as a type.
When according to preordained time, Gen. 15:
13--18, God delivered the people right on time. The significant point of it all is He brought them out by a mighty upraised
hand of authority and power by subduing the greatest ruling power in the world of that day, Egypt. He brought them out under
the Sign of the Blood on the door post and header of the entry and exit of their dwellings. Later in the New Testament writings
we hear the admonition, Come out from among them,(the unbelieving world), and be ye separate. The Blood of the Lamb sacrificed
in place of Isaac, spoke of the Blood that would be shed by the Lamb of God, that He, God, would supply through the Lord
Jesus Christ. The blood on the doorways of their dwellings, under which God would bring them out, redeemed, and free from
all bondage and slavery, was a covering for their sin, (also spoke of the blood that God would cause to be shed when Jesus
Christ would give His Life a ransom for many,) which obscured their sin from the eyes of a Holy, righteous, merciful Redeemer.
When the Law is given to Moses and elaborated upon and enacted out in the many and varied offerings, the importance of the
blood is explained very plainly. Leviticus, 17: 11, "For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I, (God is speaking),
have given it to you on the altar to make atonement, (provide a covering) for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of
the life that makes atonement. Ver. 14- For as for the life of all flesh, its blood is identified with its life. the life
of all flesh is its blood. Mankind has been prone to view mans sin, when it is accepted as such, as being, BLACK HEARTED,
but the prophet exclaimed, Though your sin be as Scarlet, it shall be white as snow.
Throughout their generations they
were told that when ever their children asked what all of this meant they were to tell them exactly what had happened, that
God, the God of their fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, had brought them out under the sign of the blood. When Moses was
given the Law written on tables of stone by the finger of God and they had broken every part of the Law before Moses got
down from His first forty days on the mountain with God, those broken Commandments were placed in the Arc of the Covenant,
with a golden covering over it, called the Mercy seat. It was here that God met with the worshiper in the ministering person
of the High Priest, and the blood of the offering of each worshiper, was sprinkled on the Mercy Seat. The Scarlet of their
sin within the Arc, represented by the broken law, and covered by the Mercy Seat, upon which the Blood was sprinkled, obscured,
hid the sin from the eyes of God, for when He saw the Blood, just like on the door post of their dwellings their sin was hidden
from His sight. But mankind needed more than a covering for his sin, he needed it cleansed, washed, removed, remitted, taken
away. The power of it, which is death was needed to be broken, and the blood of goats and calves, and heifers, or sheep, couldnt
do that. It needed to be a better offering, one based upon an Oath taken by God, sworn to on His own Word. Heb.6: 13--20,For
when God made the promises to Abraham, since He could swear by no one greater, He swore by Himself, saying, I will surely
bless you and I will surely Multiply you. And thus having patiently waited, he obtained the promise. For when men swear by
one greater than themselves, and with them an oath given as confirmation is an end of every dispute. In the same way God,
desiring even more to show to the heirs of the promise the unchangeableness, (the immutability), of His purpose, interposed
with and oath, in order that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have strong encouragement,
we who have fled for refuge in laying hold of the hope set before us. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both
sure and steadfast and one which enter within the veil, where Jesus has entered as a forerunner for us, having become a high
priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. Christian Optimism, Christian Assurance, An exuberant lifes experience.
The
Lord Jesus Christ is the Composite, of, Both Truly God and Truly Man. He is the composition of all the Imagery that God had
painted throughout the whole of the recorded Scriptures. He said,Not one Jot or one Tittle of the law would pass away until
all was fulfilled. He fulfilled the Office of the Prophet, He was the messenger to herald His own message. He was the anointed
one promised by the Father, In Him dwelt all the fullness of the Godhead dwelt in bodily form. Col. 1: 19--23, For it was
the Fathers good pleasure, for all the fullness to dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having
made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven. And although you
were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through
death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach--if indeed you continue in the faith firmly
established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the Gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all
creation under heaven, and of which I Paul was made a minister. Ver. 25-29, Of this Gospel I was made a minister according
to the stewardship from God bestowed on me for your benefit, that I might fully carry out the preaching of the word of God,
that is, the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations; but has now been manifested to His saints,
(YOU and I) to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery, among the Gentiles, which is
Christ in you the hope of glory. And we proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, that we
may present every man complete in Christ. And for this purpose I labor, striving according to His Power, which mightily works
within me.
He goes on to say as he continues to expound it, in order to bring this Flower, the Mystery of the Gospel
into full bloom. Colossians, 2: 1--4, For I want you to know how great a struggle I have on your behalf, and for those who
are at Laodicea, and for all those who have not seen my face, (Thats us), that their hearts may be encouraged, having been
knit together in love, and attaining to all the wealth that come from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a
true knowledge of, Gods Mystery, that is Christ Himself, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. I say
this in order that no one delude you with persuasive arguments. In my, treatise, Always looking on the bright side,
when I quoted Paul, Romans, 4: 25--5: 5, Him who was delivered up because of our transgressions, thats the crucifixion, blood
shed, life sacrificed as a ransom for our sins. Then he goes on to say, He was raised for our Justification, Thats resurrection.
In Chapter 5: 18b-, we are told, even so through one act of righteousness there resulted Justification of life to all men.
I find in the writings throughout, God never presents one without the other, for we must have death to the old in order to
have life for the New. Its like the song writer, wrote, You cant have one without the other. Life poured out in death, Blood
shed, is just the means, to, the final step, to the New Birth, Being Born from the dead. Justification to new life is, Complete
acquittal, no more condemnation, free to live a life to the glory of God. Christian Optimism, hope born in the innermost being
of the true believer, is the result, regardless of the extraneous circumstances, we encounter day by day.
Thus He fulfills
the complete Image of God in the Person of a Man. His purpose for appearing as such, was for all we who would accept Him,
By faith, for who He really is and for what he accomplished in our behalf. He substituted for us, 11Cor. 5: 14--21, For the
love of God controls us, having concluded this, that one died for all, therefore all were dead; and He died for all, that
they who live should no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf. Therefore from now
on we recognize no man according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him
thus no longer. Therefore if any man,(any one), is in Christ, he, (she), is a new creation; the old things passed away behold,
new things have come.( or all things have become new). Now all things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ,
and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself, not counting
their trespasses against them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ,
as though God were entreating through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ be reconciled to God..He made Him who knew no sin
to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
Let us consider what Paul has just said.
The love of God became a constraining factor to Paul. He found himself as it were, bound by cords of Gods Love, just as though
he had been placed in a strait jacket of love. There is no greater compelling power in the universe, once the magnitude of
Gods Love poured out upon us through Jesus Christ, has truly by faith made its impact upon us. His conclusion and it should
be ours as well, was that since it was necessary for one to die for the whole race of Adam, then the whole race of Adam were
all dead. (spiritually, here, but just waiting for physical death to overtake us at any time). The reason he concludes is
so that a New Race of Men, (People), might be brought into being. Thus a New Creation, brought into being by the resurrection
of Jesus Christ from the Dead. Since as we read, as God spoke through the prophet in Leviticus, 17: 11--, that the blood and
the life are synonymous, and when death ensues, either the blood has been removed or the blood no longer flows throughout
the body carrying the life giving oxygen, to its many parts, then death is the result.
Some of us have had the experience
of having a blockage in our arteries, and the flow of blood being curtailed, almost experienced death, but God intervened
and we made it to a doctor and hospital in time. In Jesus case, from the wounds that were inflicted on him, His Life, His
blood was poured out on the earth. In this death of His, or the pouring out of His Life, the shedding of His blood, the ransom,
the purchase price, the redemptive sacrifice was being made, in behalf of this sin cursed planet and all of its occupants.
It only remains for any and all who will, to avail themselves of its benefits, by Faith.
He had substituted for us in
death, but he also represented each one of us, for it was we who were dead in trespasses and sin, and needed to be saved from
its bondage. This bondage of sin and death was broken when He rose from the dead, when He came forth from the grave. It behooves
each of us who by faith endeavor to be identified with Him now in life, to see ourselves being put to death to sin, in His
death in our behalf. Not until we see this by faith, accept death to the old self, the old man, and see and believe, that
we now are alive in Him, will we ever have real peace and assurance that we are truly one of Gods redeemed. For if we are
identified with Him, by God the Father, in His death, then we must also see our identification with Him in resurrection unto
Newness of Life. His Life, Eternal Life; where the believer now having been justified by faith, has peace with God, through
our Lord Jesus Christ. No more condemnation; for the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has set us free from the law,
(judgment), of sin and death. Rom. 8: 1--
Just as He took our place before God in judgment and death, so He has been
given to us to take the place of the old man, the old person, and he becomes our substitute life. A New Person takes up residence
in the believers body, our body becomes His Temple in which He dwells. Thus another Portrait has been made a living reality,
through Him. 1 Cor. 1: 30--31, But of His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness
and sanctification, and redemption, that, just as it is written, Let him who boasts, boast in the Lord. God had declared to
the people of Israel when He brought them out of bondage, I will be their God, and I will dwell among them. This He did in
the person of Jesus Christ, and this He is doing in the True Body of Believers, or mo-better said, (Hawaiian expression),
In the Body of the True Believer. 11 Cor. 13: 5-,Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do
you not recognize this about yourselves, THAT JESUS CHRIST IS IN YOU--unless you fail the test. (I believe this is Gods final
exam for each of us) . You see we are told in other places, that God is no respecter of persons. In the vernacular of the
Oriental, it would be said, God respects no ones face, before another. Our position in life, our prestige in this world, our
wealth, one more than another, is not regarded by God. He sees us, if we are believers, with the identification of His Son
upon us, as one in Christ. If one is not a true believer he or she is seen as being identified with Adam. There are only two
groups of people in the sight of God, those in Christ and those in Adam. It behooves us to see ourselves as God sees us and
live the life of Jesus Christ, that He has given us as a gift, accordingly. Paul says, Live in a manner worthy of His calling,
doing all things pleasing in His sight. Also in the Phillipian letter he exclaims, Chap. 1: 21-,For to me to live is Christ,
and to die is gain. In the Col. 3: 3-4For you have died and your life is hidden in Christ with God. When Christ, Who is our
life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.
We can plainly see from just these few Scripture
references, that Redemption, resulting in Salvation, New Life, Eternal Life, is an accomplished fact, all performed by God
and offered to all who will believe and receive Him, for it all. He puts no more emphasis on one part over the other, for
all are necessary. With out the death, Life Poured out, Blood being shed, there could be no forgiveness, therefore no reconciliation.
Without the Resurrection, there would be no hope for now, today or tomorrow, or the hereafter. Without the Resurrection there
would be no Newness of Life. Hear Paul again as he so wonderfully expounds the fullness of the enlightenment he had received
from the Lord Himself. Romans, 5: 16a--6: 11, For on the one hand the judgment arose from one transgression resulting in condemnation,
but on the other hand the free gift arose from many transgressions resulting in justification. For as by the transgression
of the one,(Adam), death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of grace, the gift of righteous
will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ. So then as through one transgression there resulted condemnation to all
men. For as through one mans disobedience the many were made,(constituted) sinners, even so through the obedience of the One,(Jesus
Christ) the many will be made,(Constituted) righteous. And the Law came in that the transgression might increase; but where
sin increased, grace abounded all the more, that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness
to, (or resulting in), eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin, (in
bondage to the power of a sinful nature), that grace might increase? May it never be! (a preposterous thought of unbelief).
How shall we who died to sin still live in it? (when a person dies, all the compulsions of the former life have no more power
over him or her). Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ have been baptized into His death?
1 Cor. 13-,For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks,(Gentiles), whether slaves or freeman
we were all made to drink of one Spirit. The word Baptism, means,( placing into), of which the Church Ordinance of Baptism,
is but Symbolic, its a picture, a confession the believer acts out through being immersed in water, that they accept having
been placed into Jesus Christ in His death in their behalf.. Rom. 6: 4--Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism
into death, in order that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in NEWNESS
OF LIFE. For if we have become united, (Planted, Buried), with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall be also
in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, that our body of sin might be
done away with,(rendered powerless, made utterly weak in death), that we should no longer be slaves to sin; for he who has
died is free from sin. Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we should also live with Him, knowing that Christ
having been raised from the dead, is never to die again; death no longer is master over Him. Ver. 10-,For the death that
He died, He died to sin, once for all; (for all sin, for all mankind, for all time), but the life that He lives, He lives
to God. ( he lives for all who will truly believe, for all time) before God, now ministering as our Great High Priest, sharing
His life with true believers, through the instrumentality of His Holy Spirit, always interceding before the Throne of Grace
in our behalf, for our enemy, Satan, that old devil is always active, pointing an accusing finger at us, but He, Jesus, is
there pleading out case, and bestowing grace and more grace, to help us in our time of need, which is every moment of our
remaining existence while here on earth.
So again we are made aware of His fulfilling one more of the Offices,(the
priesthood), which His Father God had appointed Him to. God is faithful and He has left nothing out, and therefore its all
complete, never to be done over again, for it was a once for all work of grace, in our behalf. Its no longer like it was for
the Israelite, who had to go back every year on the day of Atonement, with another offering, having their sin brought back
to remembrance, and agonizing over them. Its very sad to see so many, professing believers, still agonizing over His death,
(the shedding of His blood, His life, being poured out upon this earth), when it was a once for all offering, which the Father
in Heaven accepted in our behalf, why is it so many cant accept it also if He, God, the Judge of all the earth, has accepted
it? How do we know that He has accepted it? He expressed Himself from heaven on several occasions for all the hear, This is
My Beloved Son, in Whom I Am well pleased, and then when Jesus exclaimed. It is finished , and gave up His spirit, His life,
In a few short days He was received back into heaven, there to be seated at Gods right hand, interceding, ministering in our
behalf, as our Great High Priest, making all that He has accomplished for us, a Living Reality. Thus we are given Hope, Christian
Optimism, Because he Lives, We live also, in the Newness of His Life.
Whenever death is spoken of throughout the Scriptures
in reference to Jesus, it encompasses the whole idea of blood shed, life poured out. When ever the resurrection is spoken of
in the scriptures in reference to His resurrection, it encompasses the whole thought of death, blood shed, life poured out,
for if there was not death, there could be no resurrection. Then as Paul writes in the Corinthian letter, we would be of all
men most miserable. For with no present reality of possessing Eternal Life, its only wishful thinking of ever making the transition
from the realm of darkness and death into the Kingdom of His son. But He tells us we have been bought with a price, His Lifes
blood, was buried, entombed, (Ive stood at the foot of that hill and looked up, and there are no Crosses any longer on it,
Ive gone from there to the Garden, and entered the Tomb, and its empty, He is risen, and when we by faith follow Him, (or
rather go with Him by faith), through the transition,we come to know, the Holy Spirit makes it a reality in the Newly bestowed
inner dynamic, the exousia, the dunamis, the Power of the resurrection life. This Life is the power to over come the ever
encroaching power of the evil that the believer has put off. in death. And having put on the new man by faith, are daily being
renewed in the spirit of our minds, so that we come to think of ourselves in that way, just as the early church of true believers
left witness for us to learn from.
In summation of these thoughts, hear the writer of the Book of Hebrews, once again.
Heb.7: 12--,For when the priesthood is changed, of a necessity there takes place a change of law also. Ver. 15-16--,And this
is clearer still, if another priest arises according to the likeness of Melchizedeck, who has become such not on the basis
of a law of physical requirements, but according to the power of an indestructible life. Ver. 19-, (For the law made nothing
perfect), and on the other hand there is a bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God.. Ver. 23-,And
the former priests, on the one hand, existed in greater numbers, because they were prevented by death from continuing, but
He, on the other hand, because He abides forever, holds His priesthood permanently. Hence also he is able to save forever,
(Completely, to the uttermost), those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
For it was fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners and exalted above
the heavens; who does not need daily, like those high priest, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins, and then for
the sins of the people, because this He did once for all when He offered up Himself. (The shedding of His blood was a once
for all offering, and it should be accepted once for all, other wise we are in danger of Crucifying Jesus Christ all over
again, and putting Him to open shame before the unbelieving world for implying that His shedding of blood, pouring out of
His life, was not sufficient the one time, therefore it needs to be done again; When God the Father says it was sufficient
to satisfy His Just demands.) I heard a woman bemoaning the fact that she had been in Church on a,( so called good Friday
service), and they had just gotten to the place in the Mass where Jesus was to be crucified, and everything began to shake,
the earth was moving the building began to break up, and they were forced to leave the service, and she was in a state of
perplexity until she could get back to Mass again, so Jesus could be crucified and she didnt have to go a long time not knowing
whether her sins were taken care of. What a terrible way to live, what a deception is being perpetrated on the heart and minds
of lost humanity.
Ver. 28-,For the Law appoints men as high pries who are weak, but the word of the oath, which came
after the Law, appoints a Son, made perfect forever. Chapter 8: 1-2, Now the main point in what has been said is this: we
have such a High Priest, who has taken His seat at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the Heaven, a ministering
the sanctuary, and in the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched and not man. Chapter 9: 12 b-15,He entered the holy place
once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. For if the blood of Goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling
those who have been defiled, sanctify for the cleansing of the flesh, how much more will the blood of Christ, Who through
the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
And for this reason He is the mediator of a New Covenant, in order that since a death has taken place for the redemption of
the transgressions that were committed under the first covenant, those who have been called may receive the promise of the
eternal inheritance. Verse, 22,And according to the Law, one may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and without
shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. Therefore it was necessary, for the copies of the things in the heavens to be cleansed
with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ did not enter a holy place made
with hands, a mere copy of The true one, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of GOD FOR US. nor was it
that He should offer Himself often as the high priest enters the holy place year after year with blood not his own. Otherwise,
He would have needed to suffer often since the foundation of The world, but now once at the consummation, He has been manifested
to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. And inasmuch as it is appointed unto men to die once and after this comes judgment;
so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, shall appear a second time , Not to bear sin, to those
who eagerly await Him, for Salvation. Doesnt it seem more logical to accept death to all sin, here and now, in the death
that Jesus died to sin in our behalf, and to then accept Eternal Life, and not to be concerned about the judgment that comes
after physical death. Read the account as recorded in Johns Gospel as Jesus spoke at the raising of Lazarus from the grave.
John 11: 25--27. Jesus said to her,(Martha), I AM the resurrection, and the life; he who believes in Me shall live even if
he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this? She said to Him, Yes Lord; I have
believed that You are the Christ, (Messiah), the Son of God, even He who comes into the world.
It seems strange that
people confess to believing for something that is going to happen sometime out there in the future, but find it so difficult
to believe for what God says has taken place right here and now in the present. Hebrews 10: 9--22, then He said, Behold
I come to do Thy Will, He takes away the first in order to establish the second. By this will we have been sanctified through
the offering of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all. and every high priest stands daily ministering and offering time after
time the same sacrifices, which can never take away sin; but He having offered one sacrifice for sins for all time, sat down
at the right hand of God, waiting from that time onward until His enemies be made a footstool for His feet. For by one offering
He has perfected for all time those who are sanctified. And the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; for after saying, This
is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord; I will put My Laws upon their heart, and upon
their mind I will write them, And their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more. now where there is forgiveness
of these things, there is no longer any offering for sin. Since therefore, brethren, we have confidence, (faith), to enter
the holy place by the blood of Jesus, by a New and Living Way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is His flesh,
and since we have a great high priest over the house of God, (Heb. 3: 6-But Christ was faithful as a Son over His house, whose
house are we,) ver.22-,let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of Faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean
from and evil conscience and our body washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope,(Christian Optimism)
without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
Hear Paul as he sums up his instructions to Titus, one of his followers,
and a minister to whom he was giving instruction. Titus, 3: 4--7,But when the kindness of God our Savior and His Love for
mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy,
by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,(being born again), whom He poured out upon us richly through
Jesus Christ our Savior, that being justified by His grace we might be made heirs according he the hope of eternal life.
Im
hoping that perhaps these few pages of explanation might let you see, why in response to the question posed by my other, E-Mail
buddy, that I was trying to show the resultant benefit, to the one who truly believes, and the basis for true optimism, that
comes as a consequence of having the Love of God shed abroad in the heart, by the Holy spirit Who is given to us. I was Expressing
the real reason why some professing believers, exude a real sincere, Joy and Peace, and exuberance, and so many others seem
to be laboring under a heavy load, having a tough time maintaining a life that is truly Christian, (Christ Like).
The
Words of Jesus as recorded in Matthews Gospel, Chap. 11: 29-30-, Come unto Me, all who are weary and heavy laden,(Work to
exhaustion to gain favor with God and to find peace in the heart), and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn
from Me, for I am gentle and Humble in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My load,(burden),
is light. Submited in the Love of Christ; Douglas C. Schacht, Rev. Ret. Just
a plain simple guy; upon whom the Lord has allowed to enter His Grace;in The Lord Jesus Christ, who almost fifty years ago
learned and determined not to be gullible, and swallow everything that came from the pulpits and across the
air-ways. But he elected to be classed with those whom Luke the penman of Paul and the writer of the
Book of Acts, alluded to as what I have considered ever since first reading it, to be Gods Nobility. Acts, 17: 11-12,Now the
these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures
Daily, to see whether these things were so. Many of them therefore believed, along with a number of prominant Greek,(Gentile)
women and men. The True Path of the True Believer, Eph. 1: 13-14a,In Him you also, after listening to the message of Truth,
the Gospel of our Salvation--having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spitirt of Promise, who is given as
a pledge of our inheritance.
