Jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life; no one comes to the father but through Me.

Jesus Therefore was saying-

If you abide in My Word,

And My Word Abides in You

then you are Truly Disciples of Mine

and you shall know the Truth,And

The Truth shall make you free.

The Lord Jesus Christ is-

The Personification of All Truth

WHAT IS TRUTH

The Lord Jesus posed the most pertinent point in all of life at the inquisition by Pilate. John 18: 36-38, "Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting, that I might not be delivered up to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not of this realm.' Pilate therefore said to Him, ' So You are a King?' Jesus answered, 'You say correctly that I am a King, for this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to bear witness to the Truth. Every one who is of the truth hears My voice.' Pilate said to Him, 'What is Truth?'

Immediately our attention is drawn to the consistency of Jesus from the beginning of His earthly life until the end. Right from the outset, as He began to present Himself, He introduced the nation Israel to a Heavenly Kingdom. He taught them to pray that this Kingdom might be introduced into this world. He repeatedly told them, "The Kingdom of Heaven was right in their midst's." Not until this appearance before Pilate, does He come right out and identify with this Heavenly Kingdom, as the King.
As He draws mankind's attention to the heavenly Kingdom, it is always in contrast to the earthly kingdoms that are shown up to be less regal and of an inferior character in their administration and rule. The Heavenly Kingdom is Spirit of God ruled and motivated, and therefore, righteousness and justice, prevail. In His intro-duction of this Kingdom, He fulfills His offices as a true envoy. Just as He taught mankind to know and recognize the characteristics of the heavenly Kingdom, so He as its representative here on earth, walked, talked, lived, and taught in such a manner that attention was drawn to Him, whatever the occasion, and caused men to exclaim,"Never has man spoke like this man. Truth is the foundation rock upon which He stood before the greatest world power of that day. And when attention was given to Him, He always deferred to His Heavenly father, and pointed those who were giving Him attention,to God, His heavenly Father, as the source of everything that they saw in Him.

He and the Kingdom He represented are the True. All others are but counterfeits of the true King and Kingdom. This, He said is what He came to bear witness to. So in all of His recorded life, and the accounts of it, He is fulfilling the position as King, as well as Subject of the Kingdom. Just as His earthly life had been one of peace, love, sharing and patience, all of which are enduring qualities, so He stated at the end of His life, that His Kingdom was not one of violence. All the violence that would come, would be from earthly kingdoms.

In bearing witness to the Truth of everything pertaining to the two kingdoms, the inference is that everything of this worldly realm is not the true realm that God had meant to rule over His creation of earth. The subjects of the earthly kingdom were not able to hear His voice, for His is the voice of God, and earthly subjects, or beings, are deaf to the voice of the Spirit of God. Only the subjects of the heavenly realm can hear the voice of God. John 8:42-47, "Jesus said to them, If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and have come from God, for I have not even come on My own initiative, but He sent Me. Why do you not understand what I am saying? It is because you cannot hear My word. You are of your Father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murder from the beginning, and does not stand in the Truth, because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie he speaks from his own nature; for he is a liar and the father of lies. But because I speak the Truth, you do not believe Me. Which one of you convicts Me of sin? If I speak truth why do you not believe Me? He who is of God hears the words of God; for this reason you do not hear them, because you are not of God."

And so we see at the beginning and right to the end, He emphasizes the necessity of the Spiritual Birth, the Birth which comes from above. In order to hear His voice one must be born into the heavenly realm. One must become one of its subjects by birth. When Pilate responds,"What is Truth?" Jesus had just finished saying that if one was of the Truth he would hear His voice. The word hear, a word that Jesus had used extensively through out His life, carries with it the meaning of, hearing with attentiveness. The characteristic of un-attentiveness, had been inherited from their father, Adam, just as all un-believing mankind has. Thus they missed the truth, they missed the mark. (all have sinned and fallen short of the mark).

Evidently up until now, Pilate like most people hadn't been really paying attention to the words Jesus had been speaking. Earlier in His teaching, it is recorded some of the people believed and some did not, but all seemed to have questions. from not really understanding HimThey lacked spiritual attentiveness. John 8:31-32, "Jesus therefore was saying to those Jews who had believed in Him. "If you abide in My Word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free."

The underlying, enlightening fact is that to not know the truth is to be in bondage and in spiritual darkness. To know the Truth as it is revealed in Jesus Christ and His Word, His expression of Himself, is to be set free. When a person doesn't know the difference, Truth is a very illusive concept to grasp. When Pilate was faced with the Truth, he questioned, "What is Truth?"

Perhaps what makes it so difficult for mankind in the natural, intellectual realm to grasp, is that he is looking for things to have lasting value. We are constantly faced with transitory, changing, fluctuating conditions or things. It's hard for man to grasp the fact that material is only temporal, and only that which cannot be seen is spiritual and eternal. 2Cor. 4:-5-1, "For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. For we know that if the earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." Being limited to things seen, (the temporary), therefore limits us in our comprehension and knowledge of the Spiritual. We have a need to be shown the True, the Real, the Complete.

It is this, that Jesus said He came to do, "To reveal the Truth," His words were, " I came to bear witness to the Truth." In Him then, can be found the full and complete concept of "True Man, and True God." True physical man and True Spiritual man. The concept in the earthly kingdom,is given to us as, faint shadows, through the kingdom of Israel, under King David's reign. A kingdom here on earth ruled by a person after God's own heart, a man of faith in the Word of God. He gained approval from God and was promised longevity, while all other worldly kingdoms are under judgment. But the Heavenly King concept is given to us in the Person of Jesus Christ, who as a man would always do the will of His Heavenly Father, and rule accordingly. In the strength of this character of willingness, He was always in command and always had charge of every situation. Only that was allowed to take place, which was a part of God's purpose for Him. This regal presence was limited to just His immediate presence while here on earth, but was shared with all His selected Subjects, the Apostles, and other believers after His resurrection and the pouring out of His Holy Spirit from the day of Pentecost on.

In recorded revelation given to mankind by a loving, caring, merciful God, we are taught many things by which we may gain a true understanding of ourselves, and the True God and an under-standing of His purpose and meaning of life. Paul after gaining the true insight into the meaning of the mystery of Life, as it is revealed to him in the Person of Jesus Christ, concludes that he as a Jew, without understanding before he was confronted by Jesus, was acting out of ignorance. He equates his lack of understanding and meaning of life, to mankind not recognizing and retaining the knowledge of the Sovereignty and Deity of God in his conscious thinking process. 1Tim. 1:12-16, "I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has strengthened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me into service; even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent aggressor. And yet I was shown mercy, because I acted ignorantly in unbelief; and the grace of our Lord was more than abundant, with the faith and love which are found in Christ Jesus. It is a trustworthy statement deserving full acceptance that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners among whom I am foremost of all, And yet for this reason I found mercy, in order that in me as the foremost,(Chief of Sinners), Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience, as an example for those who would believe in Him for eternal life." Paul is a prime example of all of us of the race of Adam, for whom Jesus prayed that last prayer while on the Cross, "Father forgive them, for they know not (are ignorant of) what they are doing". All mankind, from the time of Adam, who haven't heard the voice of God, speaking directly to them as Adam had, are ignorant of what they are doing in living their lives as they are. Before having our eyes opened by the light of Life as it shined on our pathway by Jesus, we are all Blind, as dead ones.

What we hear and see is the evaluation of truth,in which Paul now sees himself. He had been brought into the truth of life as opposed to the life he had lived, and tried to serve God in; in ignorance as a violent aggressor. In his letter to the church at Rome he very graphically explains how this attitude came about in the race of mankind. His in-sight had revealed to him that the process had developed over the centuries as a result of not retaining the true knowledge of God in his thinking. Mankind decided that the invisible God didn't fit his concept of what God should be like, and therefore abandoned Him for other god's. In taking this approach to God, he was given over to every degrading passion, resulting in action, desecrating himself and his fellow beings. In taking this digressive action he missed knowing God, who is righteousness and Love, and as a result he had no love for himself or for his fellowman, and least of all for God. Failing in all ways in his recognition of God, consequently there was developed a hatred for God, because He always stood there in the way.

I realize at this juncture, just as Paul does, as he writes in other places, that unbelieving mankind rejects this evaluation of themselves, saying it is to harsh, and too negative. They have a higher estimation of themselves, for they don't see themselves as being all bad. Isn't there a little bit of good in everybody they inter-ject? Can't we just work at improving ourselves and our society, and then won't God who is love, accept us ? God's estimation of the flesh in it's dominant controlling condition is, "The flesh Profits Nothing, It is the Spirit that give Life."

The truth as Paul came to know it, is his message contained in what he comes to equate as his very own Good News. In his letter to the Romans 2:16, and 16:25, he words it thus, "My Gospel", or "The Gospel That I Preach." Read and study the first three Chapters of the book of Romans to get a true evaluation of God's assessment of the race of humanity in it's present condition, and so see yourself as a member of that race of men, and see the contrast between the Righteousness of God that has been revealed at the Cross in the offering up of His Son to redeem a race of lost humanity.

Mankind being in a state of confusion and ignorance at this juncture, and being blind to his own condition, he therefore fails to recognize his condition. He has been on a quest ever since, trying to figure out why things just don't turn out the way he envisions they should. This quest has always led him away from God rather than back to God. 1Cor. 1:18-25, "For the word of the Cross is to those who are perishing foolishness, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the cleverness of the clever I will set aside.' Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was well pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. For indeed Jews seek for signs, and Greeks, (Gentiles, Nations), search for wisdom; but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block, and to the Gentiles foolishness, but to those who are being called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men."

In the record left and preserved for us in these last days, The Bible, God has left us an account of the effort He has put forth over the centuries, to restore mankind to His original purpose. "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness." Jesus Christ is the full and complete revelation of the Truth of God and the Truth of man, for He fulfills both likeness. Col. 1:15, "And He, (Jesus), is the Image of the invisible God, the first born from the dead." 2Cor. 4:3-4, "And even if our Gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world has blinded the eyes of the unbelieving, that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God." He gave proof to both images, Man and God. He did so in the life He lived, and in the death He died, and in the resurrection, where the power of God was Truly manifested as Sovereign God over all.

This knowledge gained, evokes the expression, "God the same yesterday, today, and forever." Natural man's mind is so consti-tuted, that he is prone to complicate and distort the truth. In this way he is continuing to follow the example of the deceiver in the garden, in turning the truth of God into a lie. This age old malady that was planted in the mind and heart of mankind in the beginning became a lasting characteristic in the human nature and has been passed on to all to follow.

Webster, defines Truth as, "The quality of being, in conformity with a person or thing's actual existence." The word from the Greek, Scholars tell us, is a combination of words, so constructed and used; and the meaning is brought over and translated in our English, words, "True and Truth". They carry a meaning, which we might say is compounded. They are more complete, filled with more and deeper meaning than our words convey. When we hear Jesus using even the Greek words, He compounds them even more, for He many times says, "Truly,-Truly", as though to put extra emphasis on the importance of the Truth of His Words. Other examples of stressing that which is true as opposed to what is not, such as, Unhidden, Unconcealed, Enlightened, that which will bear scrutiny, and investigation. That which not only bears the name, but in essence is the same nature as the name. It denotes the real, the true, and the genuine. It is the opposite of anything that is of a pretentious nature or counterfeit.

Words are but instruments or vehicles given to us by God, which give us a vocabulary that makes up our language. Language is a mechanism by which thoughts and ideas are conveyed from God to mankind and between man and man. If they are properly understood and used, they become a means of True communication with one another. They become the means of passing, or sharing information from one to another. When misused, or the wrong meaning is attached, they don't fulfill the purpose they were designed for. This causes confusion, enmity, and animosity to arise, which breeds strife, and in some instances, conflicts among people and nations. Mankind causes himself many problems by the misuse and the careless use of words, such as attaching meanings to them that they were not meant to convey. This is one of the areas where God pronounces, "The reasonings of man are vain.". Understanding this, sheds so much light in understanding how it is that mankind has so badly corrupted his ways. All of which has resulted in estrangement between God and man, and man and man.

In the face of all of this, let us remind ourselves that Jesus Christ is the peace maker. Peace, between God and man, peace between man and God, peace between the different, Ethnic groups of people, peace between all the many and varied religious factions, has all been established two thousand years ago. But you can't force peace upon two opposing factions, if one or the other doesn't want to accept peace on the basis of terms offered, even if it is the best for everybody. Just evaluate for a moment the world around you and give attention to the diversity of every area and the trouble arising from it, and yet mankind in the main refuses to accept God's Way of solving his dilemma.

Man is substituting all of his old failed ideas, just dressed up in phony terms, and trying to make them work in substitution of the Peace that was procured through the Blood of the Cross. Col. 1:19-22, "For it was the Father's good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven. And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, yet, He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach." Eph. 2:13-16, "But now in Christ Jesus you, (Gentiles), who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He, Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one, and broke down the barrier of dividing wall, by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, that in Himself He might make the two into One New Man, thus establishing peace, and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by it having put to death the enmity."

Mankind in his own failing wisdom, has taken the message of hope, Love peace, and assurance, and turned it all into untold numbers of religious and political practices, all of which are failures as the many that have come and gone before them. All for the reason, which is man's constant belief, false as it may be, that he by his own self-effort can some how or some way, arrive at the solution, if only he just tries one more time.

The truth is, all of the aspirations mankind has for improving his way, is the same as the way God made clear, in the prescription for life spelled out under the Law given to Moses for the children of Israel. It is the Law written on the heart of the Gentile. The difference is, man in his way of keeping them is all wrong, and so he has never been able to arrive at the right objective.

God's ways are always right to begin with and the solution to the problem has provided for man, the accomplishment of the objective. This is the,"Gospel, the Good News," that all who are dead in trespasses and sins, and therefore failures in achieving life on their own; by faith are made alive in Christ Jesus. Sin, Hell, Death, and the Grave, have all been conquered, and eternal life in Him has been put in its place. On this basis Paul could say, "We are more then conquerors, through Him who loved us and gave Himself for us." And any and all may do the same.

The big difference between God's way and man's way is that they are diametrically opposed to each other. Man is convinced he can work it out and God says you and I need help, we need a New Spirit to produce a New Life, before we can do anything acceptable to Him. There is an old adage that goes something like this, "If you take time to smell the flowers, you might be able to see and appreciate their beauty more." You can say the word,"flower", but until you see and smell a whole garden in full bloom, you can't really know the true meaning of the term, Flower.

Not until you come to know Jesus Christ, is it possible to know the true content or quality of being, so that the term God, and God the Son, will be known and understood, not by just the intellect, but a true heart knowledge. This knowledge then is in complete conformity with the true meaning conveyed in them. This is in complete accord with the statement of Jesus, as recorded in Matt. 11:25-30, "At that time Jesus answered and said, 'I praise Thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that Thou didst hide these things from the wise and intelligent and didst reveal them to babes. Yes, Father, for thus it was well pleasing in Thy sight. All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one Knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father, except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son reveals Him. Come unto Me, all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give him rest. Take MY yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you shall find rest for your souls, For My yoke is easy and My load is light."

To the natural thinking mind of man this is very confusing. He reasons that he has been able to know everything he sets his mind to about himself and his environment, so why can't he know God and Jesus by his own efforts as well ? Once again his reasoning is wrong, for God can only be known through the means by which He has chosen to reveal Himself. "In His Son".

The question we must ask ourselves is, "Do I know the True God? And do I know the True Man, God the Son? As a believer have I recognized the Holy Spirit, given to me by which I am sealed as His dwelling, and it is He, who makes me,"Alive", now! It is only in this way that the True meaning of all that the Term designates, can "He" really become a living reality to we who believe. "Truth."

According to the definition given for both the English and the Greek, Jesus Christ, in His Person, is in complete conformity with , and is the embodiment of all the word, "Truth", implies. He is the True God, for in Him all the fullness of the Godhead, dwelt in Bodily Form. He is True Man, for he proved His supremacy and superiority over the creation He had caused to exist, and had placed under man's authority, and over which, He re-established that authority.

If only man will stop and look closely into the Perfect Law of Liberty, James 1:25, he might just see all that he is depriving himself of by rejecting the,"Gift of the Truth of Life", by sub-stituting his own ill conceived ways.

Jesus Christ is held up before us by all the writers of the Bible and countless others throughout the ages, as being the Truth of Everything. He is the Sum and Substance of all creation, seen and unseen, material and Spiritual. He is the purpose for all creation, expressed in His Life, and in Death and Resurrection.

This is not to say that the universe is not unending in itself, the extent of which is incomprehensible to man. Neither is it to say that the sun, moon and stars, are not lights in themselves. Neither is it to say that Adam and all the race of mankind are not real people. Neither is to say that all the prophets, up until and including John the Baptist were not lights of the truth and true spokesmen of the word of God. All however leads along the pathway to Jesus, the Savior, as He stands with arms out stretched, waiting to embrace any and all who allow themselves to be drawn to Him. THEY ALL ARE! But all before Him were but pictures, types, shadows of the True. When Jesus appeared upon the stage of life, He is declared to be the, True One. He declared, "I Am the True Bread, that has come down from heaven to give life to the world".

He is the True Substance, and the Sum of our Faith.
According to the definition, Jesus the Christ of God is in quality of being and in complete conformity with every characteristic and attribute of True God and true Man. This was seen and recognized to be so and was attested to in 325-A.D. at the convention of Nice, when the first church creed was written. There they declared Him to be what He is, "Very God of Very God, and very Man of Very Man." Simply put, True God and True Man." He is the last Adam, in that He died for all, and therefore all died in Him. He became the Second Man, by virtue of the resurrection from the dead. He ushered in a New race of men, New creations in Christ, and First Born Ones from the dead, of which He is the first Fruit. all of those to come after; to come with a New Identity, New Creatures in Christ."

When He died, the first Covenant was Abrogated. When He arose and came forth from the grave, the New Covenant was validated. The inheritance was bequeathed to the rightful Heir. It was a full and complete inheritance and is eternal in duration. All true believers are made Joint heirs with Him, and in Him find completeness and justification unto New Life. (Eternal Life).

The great danger or pitfall we are cautioned to avoid is the deception of Philosophies of Unprincipled men that are a distraction and a deterrent to the Truth of God.

Jesus warned against false teachers. The leavening of self-styled, self appointed, religious and political leaders, feeding the people with false ideas, using words falsely, conveying false meaning to what is acceptable, making their teaching un-acceptable.

Matt. 16: 6, and 11-12, "And Jesus said to them, "Watch out and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees," ver. 11, "How is it that you do not understand that I did not speak to you concerning bread? But beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and Sadducees,. ' Then they understood that He did not say to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and the Sadducees."

The Apostle Paul had learned this lesson very well from hard experience, so that he writes: Rom. 16:17, "Now I urge you, brethren, keep your eyes on those who cause dissension's and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them." SHADOW OR SUBSTANCE ?

About twenty or more years ago I was holding classes on the Book of Hebrews, and someone placed into my hands a clipping they had clipped from the Readers Digest, a note was attached dated, 6-75, I placed it in one of my word study books, and from time to time as I picked up the book to review a word, I was reminded of it. I would like to place it before you now and expand on it a little. I don't believe I'm violating any journalistic prohibitions in doing so.

When I was a child, my father sometimes took me for walks in the late afternoon. We would wander down through the pasture, not hurrying. He would tell me the names of the trees, point out a bird's nest so well hidden that the careless eye would never see it. Sometimes, if the day was uncommonly warm, he would say to me, "Walk in my shadow. I'll be your shade.

Even now, I recall how good it was to be a child, exploring the fields, becoming aware of the natural order of life, watching the miracles of the changing seasons, marveling at mysteries that even my father could not explain. I walked with him safe in his shadow, protected by the shade he provided me.

One day we discovered that I had grown too tall to fit into his shadow. We didn't speak of it. We just both knew that the time had come for us to walk side by side-each casting his own shadow.

Later still, I came to understand that the shadow of my father was as it was because, the man who cast it was who he was:big enough, strong enough, wise enough to be my shelter till I was sufficiently strong enough to step outside and walk my own way. My father gave me the best of himself, his shadow and his substance." (-Jean Billetter-in Cinnaminson, N.J., --Little Paper)

As I recall, my first reaction was to cry, silently-loudly from deep with-in, Oh, Lord, I've blown it--I'm a complete failure in this area of life.

As God is faithful, I was soon directed from all this self-centered introspection, and in my search and study, I found my answer.

There is an unseen Being outside of time and space, who's presence casts a shadow over the whole universe, He is this Being We call God, and He is named by a name in every language of the race of men. All do not recognize Him, as the God of the Bible, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and David, and the God of the Believer. "Who", he profess to have rewarded him/her with, His Presence, and in this abiding Presence, He is sharing His Life with them. In the quest I found myself on, I was reminded of the Poet and the Poem he wrote, and most of us of my age or there-about, learned it in grade school. The first couple of lines are, "I have a little shadow, that goes in and out with me. And what can be the use of him; is more than I can see." At the first None of us in the darkened state of our own intellect, can see the use of the Biblical account as God declares, that this is His way. Speaking, expressing Himself as the account declares, always bringing us closer and closer till finally the realization, a shadow has to have a cause. Something or Someone is casting it in order for it to be there. And then like the Gentleman relating the account of he and his father, or the boy in the poem, the shadow came to have meaning, real meaning when the Substance that caused it has real meaning.

One day, we all who will Truly believe, will be given recognition, the man walking the dusty paths of Galilee, is the Substance of all the pictures, types, Shadows, that have been cast, in the shade of which we have been walking all along life's pathway.

Had it not been for His long-suffering patience and Mercy, and grace, as the Scripture reveals, His day of wrath would have comelong beforenow. Which one is it He is waiting for, THAT just might be the last one. Jesus said, Luke 18: "I tell you that He will bring about justice for them speedily. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?" The inference is, as times worsen and man becomes more enamored with his own accomplishments, and manner of living, God or the recognition of God and His offer of Salvation, The Gift of New Life; Faith, in the Lord Jesus as the only way, will become non-existence. And When that time comes, God according to His fore-knowledge, will receive the last believer into His loving embrace, and then will be the time for the Son of Man to return. The warning from Jesus is don't be as one of the millions, as in the Day's of Noah, "Who Missed the Boat."

The Imagery of, The Flood, and the Ark, and Israel being saved out of Egypt, their deliverance from their enemies, the release and the return from captivity to Babylon, the Hebrew Boy's deliverance from the Fiery Furnace, and untold numbers of examples of God's sustaining, delivering power in behalf of His Chosen, over the powers of darkness, are all for our learning, Rom.15:4, And 13, "For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, that through perseverance and encouragement of the Scripture we might have Hope." "Now may the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you might abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit."
Only when all the shadows cast through out the centuries, become SUBSTANCE, in the Person of Jesus Christ, does anyone find Peace and Hope and Joy and Love, all of which give forth an altogether exultant expression from within, because of His Abiding Presence. Until then all of mankind's ill conceived approach to God are just Forms, Ceremonies, Rituals, just a show of Will Worship. Man's will, exerting it's-self. Col. 2:16-23, "Therefore let no one act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath Day's, things which are a, mere shadow of what is to come; but the, Substance, (or Body), belongs to Christ. Let no one keep defrauding you of your prize by delighting in self-abasement and the worship of Angels, taking his stand on visions he has seen, inflated without cause by his fleshly mind, and not holding fast to the HEAD,(Jesus Christ), from whom the entire body, being supplied and held together by the joints and ligaments, grows with a growth which is from God. If you have died with Christ to the elementary principles of the world, why, as if you were living in the world, do you submit yourself to decrees, such as , Do not handle, do not taste, do not touch!" (which all refer to things destined to perish with the using)--in accordance with the commandments and teaching of men? These are matters which have, to be sure, the appearance of self-made religion and self-abasement and severe treatment of the body, but are of no value against fleshly indulgence."

Hebrew, 8:1-7, and 13, "Now the main point in what has been said is this; we have such a high priest, who has taken His seat at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, a minister in the sanctuary, and in the True Tabernacle, which the Lord pitched and not man. For every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices; hence it is necessary that this High Priest also have something to offer. Now if He were on earth, He would not be a priest at all, since there are those who offer the gifts according to the Law; serve a copy and shadow of heavenly things, just as Moses is warned by God when he was about to erect the tabernacle; for, "SEE," He says, 'THAT YOU MAKE ALL THINGS ACCORDING TO THE PATTERN WHICH WAS SHOWN YOU ON THE MOUNTAIN." But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, by as much as He is also the mediator of a better covenant, which has been enacted on better promises. for if that first covenant had been faultless, there would have been no occasion sought for a second." ver. 13,"When He said, 'A new covenant,' He made the first obsolete. But whatever is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to disappear."

Ask yourself; Why is it, if the first has been torn down and done away with, why has man in his blindness, resurrected all the old forms and ceremonies and rituals, when it is, The Lord Jesus Christ, and All believers with Him, that has been Resurrected from the dead?

Heb. 10:35-11:3, "Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance,(of faith), so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised. 'For yet in a very little while, He who is coming will come, and will not delay,' 'But My Righteous One shall Live by faith.' and if he shrinks back, My soul has no pleasure in him. But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the preserving of the soul. Now faith is the SUBSTANCE,(ASSURANCE), of things hoped for, the CONVICTION of things not seen. For by it the men of old gained approval. By FAITH, we understand that, the worlds (ages) were prepared by the Word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible."

Chap. 11:27,"By Faith,(Moses) endured, as seeing Him who is unseen. "

After Jesus Christ arrived here on earth, no longer was God unseen. But He finished His redemptive work and ascended into heaven, but we too, as Moses, by faith, can see Him who is unseen, with the added assurance, The guarantee, the down payment, the Earnest of the purchase possession, the Helper, the ever abiding Holy Spirit, Who makes the real things of Jesus, Real to the believer.

No longer is He, Shadow, now He has become,The TRUE SUBSTANCE!of the Believer's Faith.

Let us examine for a few moments, some of expression left for us in the Record, of the manner in which, The truth of the True Character of The God Man, was transferred to the early Apostles and Disciples.

In order to do so we must begin with The Lord Jesus, and His statements of the prescribed attitude and approach One is asked to take, if you are to be one of His Disciples. ( A learner, pupil, one who would gain understanding).

Matthew 10: 32-42. "Every one therefore who shall confess Me before men, I will also confess him before My father who is in heaven. But whoever shall deny Me before men, I will also deny him before My father who is in heaven. Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I came to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man's enemies will be the members of his household. He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who has found his life shall lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it. He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me. He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he who receives a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward. And whoever in the name of a disciple gives to one of these little ones even a cup of cold water to drink, truly I say to you he shall not lose his reward."

Matthew, 16: 21-27, "From that time Jesus Christ began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed and be raised up on the third day. And Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him saying, 'God forbid it, Lord! This shall never happen to You.' But He turned and said to Peter, 'Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling-block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on God's interests, but man's.' Then Jesus said to His disciples, 'If any wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life shall lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake shall find it. For what will a man be profited, if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels; and will then recompense every man according to his deeds."

The writer Luke records a similar discourse. Luke 9: 23-26, "And He was saying to them all, 'If anyone wishes to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever wishes to save his life shall lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, he is the one who will save it. For what is a man profited if he gains the whole world, and loses or forfeits himself? For whoever is ashamed of Me and My Words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed when He comes in His glory and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels."

His disciples, upon being called and observing His mighty authority manifested in some of His beginning miracles, have their responsive actions recorded by the gospel writers. Luke, 5: 11, "And when they had brought their boats to land, they left everything and followed Him." Luke 14: 33, "So therefore; no one of you can be My disciple who does not give up all his own possessions."

Returning to our thoughts in a previous portion of Scripture concerning the Rich young ruler who came, questioning Jesus about obtaining eternal life under the Law, Jesus answered by showing him that in order to fulfill all the Law's requirements, he would have to give up all his possessions, and he went away very sad, because he had much riches. And the impossibility of keeping the Law by a sinful, materialistic person seemed an impossibility by all. But Peter feeling that they had done just that, questioned Jesus. Jesus had just completed saying, 'That which seemed impossible to men, was only possible with God. The point He had made earlier, about the need to deny themselves, or to lose their self life, hadn't yet penetrated their consciousness. Each step along the way as we follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, we pick up little tid-bits of wisdom, from God. In this instance it is evident that until the death and resurrection, and coming of the Holy Spirit, even these, specifically hand picked, and called to be His Apostles, didn't gain understanding until they were indwelt of His Spirit, and illuminated, to the Truth as it was revealed to them in Christ Jesus.
Luke 18: 26-30, "And they who heard it said, ;Then who can be saved?' But he said, 'The things impossible with men are possible with God.' And Peter said, 'behold, we have left our own homes and followed You.' And He said to them, 'Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left houses or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, who shall not receive many times as much at this time and in the age to come, eternal life." This account is recorded in Matthew's narrative also. Matt. 19: 16-20:16. It behooves us if we are to gain a clear and enlightened understanding of the teaching, to digest these portions well. Now let us give our attention to the one called as one out of due season. The one called after the resurrection and ascension and the gift of the Holy Spirit to both the Jew and Gentile. The one called and commissioned to be the one to take the Gospel to the Gentiles. Namely Paul, 1Cor. 4: 1-2, "Let a man regard us in this manner, as servants of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. In this case, moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found trust-worthy." Ver. 9-16, "For, I think, God has exhibited us apostles last of all, as men condemned to death; because we have become a spectacle to the world, both to angels and to men. We are fools for Christ's sake, but you are prudent, (wise, understanding, having cognitive faculties, ability to discern, sensitive by the new nature), in Christ; we are weak, but you are strong; you are distinguished, but we are without honor. To this present hour we are both hungry and thirsty, and are poorly clothed, and are roughly treated, and are homeless; and we toil, working with our own hands; when we are reviled, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure; when we are slandered, we try to conciliate; we have become as the scum of the world, the dregs of all things, even until now. I do not write these things to shame you, but to admonish you as my beloved children." For if you were to have countless tutors in Christ, yet you would not have many fathers; for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the Gospel. I exhort you therefore, be imitators of me."

Little by little we begin to get a little glimpse into the innermost being of this man, as he abides in Christ, his new found source of life. Rom 1:14-15, " I am under obligation, (debtor) both to the Greek and to the barbarian, both to the wise and to the foolish. Thus for my part, I am eager to preach to you also who are at Rome." It seems as though the impact of the privilege which God had bestowed upon Paul, when at the time he was God's worst enemy, while in his condition of unbelief, over-whelmed him. And to think that there were untold numbers of people everywhere that hadn't even heard of God's good News. Paul felt He owed them his very life, and was motivated, driven by this inner Spirit of concern for them and their eternal destiny, all as a result of the Love of God, that had been shed abroad in his innermost being. The incomprehensible Love of God for the Lost, of whom he saw himself as the foremost, was overwhelming, was compelling to him, moving him to keep on proclaiming the message, no matter what the cost.

Can it not be clearly seen, what denying ones self-losing your self life, and finding your true life, in the example of Paul and the other Apostles, as the Holy Spirit, through their faith caused them to emulate the Lord Jesus in every way? We see more deeply into the heart of Christ his Savior, that now beats in the bosom of Paul. 1Tim. 1:12-17, I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strength-ened me, because He considered me faithful, putting me into service; even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent aggressor. And yet I was shown mercy, because I acted ignorantly in unbelief; and the grace of our Lord was more then abundant with the faith and love which are found in Christ Jesus. It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all. And yet for this reason I found mercy, in order that in me as the foremost, Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience, as an example for those who would believe in Him for eternal life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen."

The super-abundant, over-flooding, Grace of God that He had lavished upon Paul in giving him the gift of faith with which to believe His Word in Jesus Christ, was all predicated on His Love so freely given because of His great mercy. So over-whelming was it that it almost seemed beyond any-one's comprehension. And Paul saw himself as an example by which God could demonstrate to the whole world; no one was beyond His embrace, if only they would believe God's Word for it. Eternal life was and is within the reach of everyone. God in Jesus Christ, is just as near you, as the very breath in your mouth and lungs. Just believe Him and say so, is all of Paul's message, God has taken care of all else.

2Cor. 4: 1-11, " Therefore since we have this ministry, as we received mercy, we do not lose heart, but we have renounced the things hidden because of shame, not walking in craftiness or adulterating the Word of God, but by manifestation of truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. And even if our Gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants for Jesus sake. For God, who said, 'Light shall shine out of darkness,' is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the surpassing greatness of the power may be of God and not from ourselves; we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, that the Life of Jesus also may be manifest in our body. For we who live are constantly being delivered over to death for Jesus sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. So death works in us , but life in you."

Can't you begin to see, how everything Jesus began to teach His disciples is being played out in Paul. Jesus had said, 'No one can be My disciple, unless he denounce his old life, and the hidden things of darkness, and take up his cross and follow Him, Hear Paul in Gal. 6: 14-16, "But may it never be that I should boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. For neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation. And those who walk by this rule, peace and mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God."

Gain a little insight into the mind and heart of this man, revealing to Timothy, his consciousness of some of the old life, to which he had been crucified, through the cross of his Lord Jesus Christ. Read once again 1Tim. 1: 12-17, and let the Holy Spirit show you the change in the mind of Paul that had taken place, so that his encouragement to, 'Be renewed in the spirit of your mind', is what he considers necessary for everyone who becomes a believer in Jesus Christ. The redemption, in his mind is complete, even to the extent, that we all receive a full and complete New Person to take the place of the old, in that we receive Jesus, we receive His mind with which to apprehend Spiritual Concepts. 1Cor. 2: 12-16, "Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words. But the natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no man. For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct him? But we have the mind of CHRIST."

The Lord Jesus as well as the Apostles, never ask or encourage the believers to come, or to have any other attitude of obedience, or action in their newly acquired life, than is shown first in them. It's all a matter of a true heart of faith, in believing and receiving the Living Word of God in such a manner, that it becomes, sum and substance in each of us as it has been shown to have done in them. Observe how Paul explains this all to be a living reality as far as he is concerned. Phil. 3: 3-21, "For we are the true circumcision, (The true Israel if God, He is a true Jew who is one inwardly, who's circumcision is of the Heart, not outward in the flesh), who worship in the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh." John 4:2124, "Jesus said to her, 'Woman believe Me, an hour is coming when neither in this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, shall you worship the Father. You worship that which you do not know; we, (true believers, and true Jews), Worship that which we know; for Salvation is of the Jews, (He being the Savior), But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in Spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. God is Spirit; and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.

And one who comes in this renewed spirit of the mind, puts no confidence in the flesh. Worship to the true believer is no longer necessary for it to be conducted in a specific place, neither through forms or ceremonies, or rituals, but in the true spirit of worship, through the Holy Spirit. They have denied self, and any and all dependency upon, position in this world of men, or possessions, or anything that unbelieving mankind hold onto as a status of prestige, or false piety. Hear his simple straight-forward admission of giving up everything that had formerly been all important to him.

Ver. 47, "Although I myself might have confidence even in the flesh. If anyone else has a mind to put confidence in the flesh, I far more; circumcised the eighth day, of the nation of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; as to the Law, a Pharisee; as to zeal, a persecutor of the church; as to the righteousness which is in the Law, found blameless. But whatever things were gain to me, those I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ." Can we not begin to see the very heart and mind of the Lord Jesus pulsating in Paul, and it should be so in each of us who make a profession of any maturity, or growth in the new life in Christ. But we have only just begun to delve into the depth to which the new life expression will result, for the justified one who truly walks by faith, in the Lord Jesus Christ. Oh; how this needs to become the living expression in the body of believers, once again in these last days. But lets continue on as Paul continues to express his inner-most determination and purpose so that he might truly become conformed to the image of His Lord and Savior. The inaudible heart cry is, 'More of Jesus Christ, and less of me.

What a difference in the spirit of this man, than what we see in the world of religious expression around us in our day. This leaves no question, as to why there is no Authority in the Spiritual realm in the professing church of our day. But lets continue on that we might be possessed of the Spirit of Christ to bring about this same Spiritual awakening and desire and drive in each of us. Ver. 8--It behooves us to take note of where the value lie, and what now had become of prime importance. Quote, "More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing values of Knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish, (refuse, garbage), in order that I may gain Christ, and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith."

Can you see the wide divergence in value, as he reveals how much more having Christ and His righteousness, at his disposal, to rest in and to appropriate by faith for his daily walk, and strength to live and to fulfill his commission of stewardship in dispensing the Gospel to all that he could proclaim it to, as compared to his former life and what the center of his attention was formerly. If Paul were living today and would have remained a Pharisaic Teacher of Judaism, he would possibly be one of the most recognized religious leaders of the Jew's today. If he were living today as a Jewish believer, and proclaimer of the truth, he would be one of the most hated, and maligned men of modern day. If he were to be recognized as a learned man in his field of endeavor he would be one of the greatest figures in Christianity, But none of these would have been Paul's measure of himself. His measure would have been the same; there is no confidence or reliance upon the physical, or material stature on any level, in or out of the body of Christ. The Greatest height for a True Believer to attain is, ''To know Christ and the power of His Resurrection,' after having accepted death, for one's self in the death of Jesus, made sin on our behalf. Any one who is not willing to re-live the experience of Jesus, cannot come to the full knowledge of knowing Him, in all His resurrection power. Until each of us can stand with Paul; and say with Paul; truthfully and sincerely, ( Gal. 2: 19-21, "For through the Law I died to the Law, (Law of sin and death), that I might live to God.' 'I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and delivered Himself up for me.' I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly.") we cannot lay claim to status in the sphere of the Spiritual. True Faith in God's Word concerning His Son, always produces New Life in Christ Jesus; and death to the old self-life, as we have known it before Faith came.

Ver. 12, "Not that I have obtained it, or have already become perfect, but I press on in order that I may lay hold of that for which I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus. Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do, forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead. I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, (complete-completeness of age, obtained spiritual man-hood) have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that also to you; however, let us keep living by that same standard to which we have attained. Brethren, join in following my example, and observe those who walk according to the pattern you have in us. For many walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even weeping, that they are enemies of the cross of Christ, whose end is destruction, whose god is their appetite, and whose glory is in their shame, who set their minds on earthly things. For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself."

With-in the context of the Scripture we have just given consideration to, lies the full and complete embodiment of the TRUTH OF THE GOSPEL. When Jesus used the term, which is translated, 'lose', contained with-in are these meanings, which all stem from the Root Word. "To destroy fully, to perish, to put away, separation, to leave off from. departure, cessation, reversal, to die. All of which the believer accepts, Vicariously in Jesus Christ, who in Actuality fulfilled them all in our behalf. In the exercise of His Will in accepting the position of separation He assumed, He lived His complete life, apart from any dependence upon the physical, material dependence, that we humans employ. And so when we hear the Apostles say, "We have left everything". its the putting off and away any reliance, or dependence upon the physical, material, possessions of this earth, including their own self-life. Here-in lies the completeness of the statement, "Man's Life does not consist of the abundance of his possessions, nor on the physical food that he eats, but man's lives by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God."

With-in this context, the true believer, one who has unders-tanding, never commits suicide, or willingly takes his own life, but accepts the new relationship they now have to the natural, in relationship to the Spiritual. The true believer will now guard and protect the body, because now it is considered the Temple, the Tabernacle that houses the New Spiritual Person. Here-in lies the necessity of being renewed in the spirit of the mind. Why? Because it's necessary to see yourself in whole new light, as Children of God, and Joint Heirs to the full and complete inheritance, in Jesus Christ.

Contained with-in this concept is every thing that the Word Truth, Implies. True Man, or True Woman. A True Son or Daughter, as opposed to a counterfeit. Rom. 8: 8-17, "Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. However you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him. And if Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the Spirit is alive because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who indwells you. So then brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh,--For if you are living according to the flesh you must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body you shall live. For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you have not received a Spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, Abba! Father! The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him in order that we may also be glorified with Him."

Through, 'FAITH,' with which comes the renewed mind of the true believer, a True Spiritual Awakening can and will be brought about so that what we hear being expressed by the early apostles, and disciples of Jesus Christ, will once again be heard, with-in the body of the True Church, the True Body of called out Ones. Oh; Lord Jesus, cause it to be so, is our prayer.

Through Prayer and Supplication, there in no reason, why each one of us should not be brought to a clear and enlightened know-ledge of what the Truth of The Gospel, concerning God's Son, Truly is.

Let me use an illustration of the shaded meaning that can be and is being interjected into our thinking, and sounds so truthful, but in reality is a contradiction. An old verse, possibly looked at as poetry, reads something like this. "Only one life, it soon will be past; only what done, for God will last." In truth, this is really a, 'Mis-nomer. Mankind has been trying to do things for God, throughout his whole history, and all has been rejected. In truth, 'Only that which is, done by God, is that which will last:' Paul expressed it very plainly, "I am what I am, by the grace of God." We have just quoted him writing, "If by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live." and "If you walk in the Spirit, you will not, (Imperative) fulfill the desires of the flesh." And again if you endeavor to build upon the foundation of Jesus Christ, the Chief corner stone, with, material, or physical, substance or effort that is not wholly motivated by the Holy Spirit, you will suffer loss through fire. Only Spiritual things are lasting. A true believer, is what he or she is, and a true believer does what he or she does, because of what God has done for them, and its only this that will last.

Let me use another comparison. A very popular figure in American Politics, now deceased, made a similar statement, which is also a mis-nomer. "Look not at what your country can do for you; but what you can do for your country." We Americans are what we are, because of what our great country has done for us. The only thing that a True American can do for his or her country is; to accept the reality, of who we are and what we are, and live as Patriotic, Law Abiding, upstanding citizens, and there-by bring honor to the American Name. If we only could return to the precepts, the tenets, of the Freedom and Liberty, that is ours, and live within the bounds, not overstepping, and infringing on the freedom and rights of others in order to satisfy personal ambitions, what a grand heritage we could leave the generations to come. This too takes a, "Renewal in the Spirit of the Mind." But the Renewal of the Spirit of the mind only comes when a New Person takes up residence in the body, where all are One in Jesus Christ.

To Know God--The Way Of Life:
